Fawkes was very pleased when he met the Vault Dwelling Doctor. She had a friend who was armoured, and was watching her back. The Doctor introduced herself to him as Silvia, told him she needed the GECK to help everyone and finish the legacy. Her friend just kept watch.
Fawkes hadn't meant to see her again. But when she was captured, by a group he learnt to know as the Enclave, and her friend was barely standing, he promised her that he would find the Doctor. She saved him, it was only fair he saved her. Her friend said she would get her own group- the Brotherhood- to defend the Doctor.
Fawkes found her. She was running from an exploding building, clutching her supersledge, hijab tail flying in the wind. They asked him to travel with her, and he did. Of course he did. She'd saved him.
She was. Desperate. That was what he knew. She was young and inexperienced and desperate to matter. Desperate enough that she tried to die.
Fawkes had tried to stop her- he said that he could do it. But she'd already opened the airlock and stepped in. He realised that it was the Legacy she'd wanted to fill.
He waited in the Brotherhood base for her. They weren't happy about it, but her armoured friend, from Vault 87 had fought for him, saying he had saved Silvia.
When she woke up, they had just seen tired. Her and Fawkes traipsed the Wastes, helping who they could. Sometimes she would disappear, and reappear with a new tiredness and resolution.
One day, she told him that she couldn't stay. That they had to leave. She gave him her keys to her house, told him they loved him, and disappeared, with just a heavy bag.
