Chapter Text
Long ago a young flower cookie studied the flow of
time. It was forbidden for someone not in the Time
District to look for such a thing, but the flower
cookie didn’t heed those warnings. She then
discovered that the disruption of the flow of time
resulted in alternate universes. Different versions of
Crispea are made every time a cookie broke into the
past, ruined a future, or changed the present. She
wondered if this was intentional with the Witches, or
a mistake? Were they aware of the different
versions of Crispea?
Unfortunately this flower wilted into the cookie
known as Dark Enchantress. Using her past memory
of her knowledge of time, she had a plan to disrupt
the flow. To make a Crispea that was perfect in her
eyes. This result has forced the ancients to go to
these alternate universes to warn the other versions
of Dark Enchantress existence. Will they stop the
Dark Enchantress plan especially after re-creating
the Beast Cookies?
Which leads us to the present, with Pure Vanilla
getting ready to find the new anomaly Dark
Enchantress has created. Anomalies were rifts in the
middle of Crispea, which would lead to alternate
realities. He felt like this was specifically aimed at
him, not only was the rift made in his kingdom but
Shadow Milk Cookie was rumored to be seen around
the portal. This could be a trap, he no doubt knows
this. However, he would rather fall into Dark
Enchantress clutches than let an innocent alternate
Crispea be taken over. He packed his bags along with
GingerBrave, Strawberry, and Wizard Cookie getting
ready to join Vanilla. He didn’t want the kids to risk
themselves AGAIN with a fight but they insisted,
plus it isn’t too bad to have friends to help.
Unfortunately the one person he truly wanted to
join, had not. She told him that morning the reason,
but it still didn’t hurt less.
“I must know the truth about my beast Pure
Vanilla, and the beast binding ritual,”
Pure Vanilla sighed “I know, I wish our paths could
meet,”
She nodded her head saddened “It seems even after
all these years we still can’t agree,”
Pure Vanilla chuckled a little “Well, I can’t trap a
butterfly. It must be free to share its beauty,”
White Lily blushed and shunned away giggling as
well. “I’m glad you understand a little more, thank
you,”
She then set off, Pure Vanilla can’t deny that
his heart sank. He hopes though that her mission is
a success just like his, whatever Shadow Milk or
Dark Enchantress have planned. As he packed his
bag he imagined what this universe would be? He
remembered when he met the Sage in one, he’d
never imagine that the Sage of Truth was a version
of Shadow Milk. Sure he was a little harsh but not as
bad as Shadow Milk Cookie. Sage still sends him
letters through alternate realms as well, trying to
update on his goal to make friends with Recluse. So
far the letters have shown that Recluse is…stubborn
but Sage is even more so. Hmm, will the Pure
Vanilla in this universe be helpful in fighting dark
Enchantress? He hoped so, there’s also the
possibility that he might not even exist in this
universe. A lot of rifts they had to fix didn’t even
have a Pure Vanilla or the ancients. Whatever the
case he hoped this place was safe and can be fixed.
“Ready to go Pure Vanilla?” Ah Gingerbrave, he
was always in high spirits.
“Ah yes, just wondering about what alternate reality
we must face,”
“Whatever it is, we can face it together!”
Pure Vanilla sighed but with a smile, his optimism
can be contagious. They went outside the door to
meet the other cookies, Strawberry and Wizard.
“I have many books ready for whatever obstacle we
face!” Wizard looked very proud of himself.
“Um, I couldn’t really think of anything, but I packed
food,” Strawberry looked disappointed in herself.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure food will be very important,”
Pure Vanilla pat Strawberry Cookies head. After their
journeys together he truly does see himself as a
parental figure, if only they could live in peace.
“I guess,” She shrunk in her hood.
“Pure Vanilla, if I may ask, who will make sure no
vile Beast takes over when we’re gone!?” Wizard
Cookie asked.
“Don’t worry I put Raisin in charge, at first she was
hesitant to leave me alone but I informed her about
the need of the Vanilla Kingdom,”
“Right, right, just making sure,” After their encounter
at the silver tree, the kids have been very on guard.
They all said their goodbyes to everyone, just in case
it lasted a few days. Sometimes the alternate
universes took a week to fix the rifts. Even though
Pure Vanilla waved he still questioned, why his
kingdom specifically? The rifts were usually very
random, this one was in the middle of the place.
“Pure Vanilla you ready to go in?”
“Hm? Oh yes right, sorry Gingerbrave my mind has
been elsewhere,”
He jumped in, he believes he smelled smoke? He felt
ashy ground as well, he opened his staff's eye to see
just what this place was like.
“No…,”
The sky was red and dusty from crumbs and ash.
The ground was charred, not a patch of grass
anywhere. He turned to what used to be the Vanilla
Castle, which was now a different castle. Tall and
black, not welcoming at all.
“Did Dark Enchantress already take over!?” Wizard
Cookie asked worryingly.
They suddenly heard a familiar distant laughing, “I
don’t know who this Enchantress is but taking credit
for my lord's work is soooo disrespectful!”
“Shadow Milk Cookie….,” Pure Vanilla whispered.
Gingerbrave spoke up, “Show yourself! You…you
coward!”
“My my such hostility from cookies I haven’t even
met yet!”
The cookies paused and looked at each other
confused, “What do you mean?” Strawberry Cookie
asked.
“It’s just one of his tricks!” Wizard Cookie yelled.
Pure Vanilla didn’t think so however, his soul jam
wasn’t resonating like in beast yeast. Was this
devastation from this universe's version of Shadow
Milk Cookie?
“Yes my lovely lord will be very pleased that I
brought naughty brats and…,” he stopped talking,
“Ohhh he’ll love seeing the blonde one!”
“What are you talking about!? Who is this LoRd you
keep talking about!? And stop hiding!” Wizard Cookie
grew frustrated.
“Sighhh everyone is a critic in entertainment! Fine,
might as well spoil the surprise,”
A version of Shadow Milk entered from a red version
of his other realm. He had a jester hat of red and
white with pure red ruby eyes. He seemed very
theatrical, embarrassing the more jester side of his
outfit.
“Let me introduce myself! I am Shadow Milk
Cookie~,” he smirked “The loyal jester of deceit to
our beautiful Lord of Darkness Cookie!”
“Lord of….?” Strawberry Cookie asked, confused.
“Jeez, you don’t know about my glorious Lord!? His
name should be spread to the whole multiverse!” he
then looked over at Pure Vanilla Cookie, “However,
come to think of it. Hehe! You might have met him
already! Just in different…paint is all,”
Pure Vanilla was confused, “What are you talking
about…?”
“Oh nothing! I don’t like to spoil plot twists! Anyway
if you want to see the TRUE cookie behind all this the
castle is just that way!”
“Why are you letting us just walk in?” Gingerbrave
questioned.
“E-exactly! What kind of fools do you take us for!?”
Wizard Cookie was on guard.
“Well you coulddd stay here and enjoy the scenery!”
He turned to Pure Vanilla “Of the old Vanilla
Kingdom~,”
Pure Vanilla gasped dropping to the ground. How?
How did this…?
“You’re lying!” Strawberry Cookie yelled.
Gingerbrave jumped in “If there’s a Vanilla Kingdom
was…then where is this world's Pure Vanilla Cookie!?
What did you do to him!?”
The Red Shadow Milk just giggled maniacally kicking
his feet in the air, “Wow! You all really are from the
DUMBEST universe,” He stops “Buttt the answers
you seek will all be answered by my Lord, just right
in that beautiful castle,”
Pure Vanilla grasped at the ground, “We’ll…we’ll go in
the castle,”
“What!?” The kids all shouted.
“I need to know…what happened,”
Red Shadow Milk smiled, “Perfect! I’ll teleport you
all! No one likes a long walk and I don’t want to bore
an audience!”
In a blink of an eye they were in the castle. It was
full of reds, blacks, whites, and purples. Eyes
decorated almost everywhere, red stained glass
showing a silhouette of a powerful cookie. It must
have been this “Lord” Red Shadow Milk was talking
about. It was hard to see the details.
“My Lord is just beyond this door! Butttt before we
see him I’d like to tell a story!”
“We don’t have time for games!” Wizard Cookie's
mouth was zipped up.
“Hey! Turn him back!” Gingerbrave pointed his cane.
“It’s not my fault he was rude! All I ask is to listen to
my story!”
Pure Vanilla sighed, “Will listen just turn him back,”
“Fine!” He released Wizard Cookies mouth. “Now!
Sit! Sit!”
He summoned chairs and forced every cookie to sit
and made a theater. This Shadow Milk seemed even
MORE confident in his abilities. The curtains were
closed as a voice emitted from the room.
“And now I tell you the story of,” He paused for
dramatic effect, “The Rise of the King!”
“This is stupid!-” He shut Gingerbraves mouth, “No
talking til AFTER the performance!”
“Now usually I tell little white lies buttt my lord
deserves nothing but the real deal of his story! So all
of this will be true, the whole shabang!” Red Shadow
Milk giggled and continued.
“Long ago, a cookie was unfortunately given a stolen
soul jam. The cookie did not know of these disgusted
witches' actions!” The stage showed a doll of what
seemed to be Pure Vanilla given the truth soul jam.
“What…,” Pure vanilla whispered.
“The cookie was utterly confused! “Why me?” “All
this pressure..,” ah the poor poor cookie,”
Pure Vanilla turned away.
“The cookie seeked to learn from the creators
themselves and ask the question “Oh witches! Why
was I chosen to protect the light of truth?”. He said
farewell to his friends as he set off to, the Witches
Banquet,”
“The Witches Banquet!?” Pure Vanilla gasped but his
mouth was promptly shut.
“Jeez, the audience is so noisy today!” disembodied
voices laughed like a sitcom.
“ANYWAY back to the story!” The doll of Pure Vanilla
was brought back, “One of his pathetic friends, the
flower. Begged him to not go, claiming she knew
something he didn’t. They had a terrible fight and
our protagonist didn’t listen to the fool, for he knew
better! Good for him!” The disembodied audience
clapped. “After a long journey, he finally arrived. He
was excited to see the ones who gave him the power
to help others,” Red Shadow Milk sighed
“Unfortunately, he saw the truth. The Witches, the
creators, eating cookies. He gasped, and stumbled
into the ultimate dough!” The audience gasped, Pure
Vanilla and the kids looked shocked but couldn’t say
anything. “The cruel witches baked the cookie and
he was reborn! As…The Lord Of Darkness!” The stage
showed the grand reveal of Pure Vanilla Cookie,
turning into a whole different doll. Curled horns,
darker blonde hair, thigh high black boots, black
cape, gold and black eyes, and a pure black soul
jam. Pure Vanilla in the audience was wide eyed and
confused, everyone was trying to get out of their
seats.
“My what a reaction! It’s expected though! My lord is
utterly divine~,” He giggled and continued “The Lord
of Darkness then invaded the Flowers' memories,
and found out about the poor trapped virtues! He
released them for his grand plan, and in the process
saved his other half!” Red Shadow Milk sighed
dreamily, “The jester immediately fell for the Lord of
Darkness, my what a catch! He then devoted his life
to his savior and promised to help the Lord see his
plan through! “Oh my Lord! We will gain the power
to destroy all witches!” The Lord of Darkness smiled
at the oh so handsome Jester! And replied “Then we
shall combine our souljams into one, and destroy
whoever gets in our way,” my such words! Truly a
charmer right folks!?” The crowd cheered, “Now! I
bet you’re wondering, “Oh my! But what happened
to the Vanilla Kingdom?” Well why don’t we ask the
man of the hour!”
The theater disappeared, the group was taken to
a large throne room. Tapestries depicting the death
of cookies, and witches burning in an oven. In the
center was a large throne and a cookie rising from it.
Red Shadow Milk floated to the cookie engulfed in
shadow.
“Oh my Lord! Can you tell these fools what
happened to this sad Kingdom?”
The Cookie emerged from the shadows smiling, The
Lord of Darkness, Pure Vanilla Cookie,
“I destroyed it,”
Red Shadow Milk finally let the group speak,
releasing the spell.
The kids shouted “PURE VANILLA COOKIE!?”
