Misprinted Sex Coupons

Summary:

Raidion receives a Valentine's Day gift from I. He wishes he hadn't.

Notes:

Technically, this is the first Natural Six fic I wrote, but I didn't want to enter the fandom with it, so I waited to post it until after I wrote something else lol. Also, it's incredibly difficult to write dialogue for I.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

"What the fuck is a 'blow jab?'"

Raidion's incredulity at the frankly disturbing misspelling on this already lackluster Valentine's Day gift was something he couldn't have held back even if he wanted to try. He glanced up from the poorly constructed "Coopon Book" made of construction paper in colors that looked like they'd been rejected from the rainbow and into I's eyes.

"And why are you giving me this?"

"I heards it was a holiday and I knows holidays is for presents. You gaves us friendship bracelets. I wants to gives you something. Dolly saids a coopon book was good idea. Helped I with it since I can't reads."

A snicker erupted from the other side of the room and Raidion glowered at Dolly, who was watching them from the corner, barely containing her joy at the scene.

"I. Well, I, this is not what you think it is. Dolly was playing a prank on you. And me. On us."

Frowning, I looked down at his hands for a moment and then back at Dolly. Her face immediately straightened and she actually looked somewhat chastised. Raidion decided in that moment to take pity on the kobold.

"Regardless, thank you I. No one has ever gotten me a Valentine's Day gift before." He patted I on the shoulder to distract him from Dolly's betrayal. "I won't be cashing any of these coupons in, however. I have a sneaking suspicion you don't actually know what any of them mean."

"Is knows exactly what they means. Is like you. I woulds gives your jab a blow."

Shaking his head, Raidion put his hand firmly on I's back and ushered him out of the room as Dolly broke into raucous laughter.

"Let's just go get a drink, I."

As they walked out into the tavern, Dolly's melodious chuckling followed them, like a bad smell.
