The woman who trapped her to death used to have a gentle touch and a soft voice, the same voice that named her Petunia—a flower of vibrant colors and delicate petals that she had only seen in books.
Like the fragile petals of a petunia, she succumbed swiftly to sub-freezing temperatures, her mother's warm body transformed into a cold cage, sealing her within. Frozen tears adorned her cheeks, burning with cold.In their world, the flowers were the first to wither, followed by those bearing names reminiscent of blossoms.
The next time she opened her eyes, she found herself in a cradle, enveloped by the gentle sounds of tingling toys and the laughter of a child beside her. For seven years, Petunia could only feel numbness enveloping her.
