“Fuck me,” he said under his breath, followed by what could only be described as a whine as the cigarette landed filter down on the dirty patio.
Santos will never understand what in god’s name made her feel like this was an appropriate thing to say, but the pitiful sound that came out of Langdon made her stomach clench.
“You wish.”
Langdon’s head whipped around to look at her, his hands stilled in their mission to fish a new cigarette out of his pack.
