Summary
Jonathan makes his way through the cold breeze, grey-pink dusk only just lighting his way. Soon, they will wake up in a new day and they still won’t know what to do with themselves. For just now though, Jonathan kicks his shoes off and he doesn’t register that it may be a bad idea—he crawls onto the temporary mattress, half filled with straw.
He doesn’t touch Teddy, but he moulds himself into the same shape, the same indents and curves. Watches his chest rise and fall, content in slumber. Teddy is breathing. He is.
Richard Roper is not.
And never will again.
Whether or not the two of them can ever truly believe that, well, only time can tell.
A finale fix-it in which Roper is dead, his organisation is well and truly dismantled, and Jonathan and Teddy are left to pick up the pieces—of themselves and each other.
