Summary
Gabriel's camping trip with his football player friend Brian takes a horrifying turn when a meteor crashes nearby. Inside, an alien parasite attacks him, consuming and restructuring his anatomy. Brian finds him transformed with pink tracery spreading across his skin, his genitals replaced by something alien.
What starts as trauma becomes something unexpected. Brian becomes Gabriel's caretaker, then his protector, then something more as the parasite's pheromones intensify feelings neither can deny. When Gabriel realizes he's pregnant, both their families must confront an impossible reality.
Gabriel lays two black eggs speckled with pink. When they hatch, out come hexapedal creatures with lamprey mouths and human eyes. Their children. As Archie and Eden grow, they learn to shapeshift, fluctuating between alien and almost-human forms.
Through fear, love, and determination, Gabriel and Brian become fathers to hybrid babies who purr when content and sprout extra limbs when needed. Their families struggle to accept the impossible, but ultimately, love transcends the strange.
