Leap felt bad for insulting his younger brother. After all, no one was born knowing the alphabet! And the kid had clearly done a lot of work that day to learn it...
"Hey" Leap said quietly on the drive home from the Letter Factory. "I'm sorry I was mean to you this morning" he apologized. "You're actually really smart for your age"
"You're forgiven" Tad said, trailing off into a yawn. "I need to get some Z's"
"Yeah" Leap laughed. "Get some rest, bro. I love you"
"I love you too"
