Chapter Text
Robin was starting to get seriously annoyed by her husbands constant comments on her sons love life. Not because she didn't care about who he dated or when he was gonna get a girlfriend, but because he kept bringing up the fact that if he didn't get out there, he would be single forever and continue to live in his dark cave they called a basement. She wanted to talk to Sebastian about maybe getting out there and talking to some of the girls in town, maybe even Abigail would suffice.
While walking down the stairs and into his room, she considered what kind of reactions she would get from the topic she was going to bring up. But she ended up walking in without knocking; he usually didn't leave his room unlocked so she just had to assume he forgotten to double check it had even been locked. However, what she saw when she opened it was a bigger surprise to her.
Sam.
The thing about this situation was not that her son was cuddling a guy in bed, but the fact that she wouldn't have guessed Sam, of all people. Not that Sam necessarily was an issue, but it still caught her off guard. So far, she has known Sam nearly all of her son's life. She had no problem with the boy, but two factors played out in this scenario. A: Is this what male friends do? and B: She has let them be alone several times. She wouldn't put it past Sebastian to have a boyfriend rather than a girlfriend, but he could have told her. He could have right?
She had never noticed just how close they were before and now she was planning to pay the most attention to this that she ever has to her son before.
*The NEXT day*
Robin set up the table in the morning with pancakes. Everyone had already eaten, except for Seb, who still had yet to leave his room. Not that he ever did on time, as he really tried to avoid his stepfather's glares and smart remarks about his social, work, and love life all in one conversation. Around 12:00PM, she knocked on the door. She still figured it would be unlocked, but she did not want to disturb the boys' peace - even if they didn't know she knew Sam was here. She actually had contemplated a lot last night on just how Sam did get in last night. Everyone knew that Sebastian didn't have any have "real windows" in his room. He had a very tiny one - the size of most basement windows, but it was definitely not big enough for Sam to fit through. She then considered the simple things: he had come in while she was distracted and Demetrius was asleep. Sebastian had probably called him as well; let him know what door to use; tell him when to enter. It wasn't very hard to see just how he had pulled it off actually. She was just surprised that Jodi hadn't caught him.
The door finally opened and her son was the one to look her in the eyes first. It made sense that he would do it rather than Sam, but he wasn't even trying to hide the fact that he was wearing his - whatever Sam was - hoodie too.
