    Summary

Never go in alone at night. Never let your partner out of your sight. Always carry fire. Never let the flames go out. And never, ever, follow the voices.

Every person in Lotus Pier City knew the rules of survival for entering Cloud Forest. Wei Ying and Jiang Cheng had broken the rules exactly once and never again.

Three years later, as Lotus Pier City burned at the hands of Wen soldiers, Wen Chao and his entourage dragged the brothers into Cloud Forest. No one ever returned.
