4 Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey, England, Great Britain.
Harry was currently outside as he had been given a list of chores to do.
Harry was halfway through his chores and he only had the windows to clean and to look at the roof.
Harry went to the garage to get the ladder but as he went to open the door he felt something hit him.
Vernon was driving home and he was angry as he had just been fired and he couldn't believe it so when he took his eyes off the road he didn't notice that he was going to hit Harry.
As soon as the car hit Harry he screamed out in pain and Vernon looked up and he was completely shocked at what he did.
Vernon drives the car back and Harry screams some more.
Vernon stops the car and he gets out and he goes behind the back and he sees that Harry's leg is tangled up in the bottom of the car and there is blood pouring out.
Vernon runs inside and he tells Petunia what has happened.
Arabella Figg was putting her cats out and she heard someone screaming and what sounded like car tyres screeching so she went and found out what was going on.
Mrs Figg heard someone yelling and she looked across the street and she couldn't see anyone but she decided to look near the Dursleys house.
Harry was crying as he was in agony and he couldn't feel his leg anymore.
Mrs Figg followed the sounds of someone screaming but she could also hear someone crying and as she got closer the sounds got louder.
When Mrs Figg comes around the corner she stands there frozen and she is shocked by what she sees.
Mrs Figg feels like she is about to be sick but she quickly turns around and she runs back inside and she calls 999.
Mrs Figg tells the person on the phone what's happened and to send an ambulance immediately and she gave the address and hung up and left the house.
Mrs Figg runs back to Harry and she bends down and checks to make sure that Harry is doing ok and that he is still alive.
Mrs Figg puts her hand into his hair. And she pushed it back and tried to comfort him as best she could.
“Don't worry Harry, I've called for help and it's on the way.” Mrs Figg says.
Mrs Figg can feel that Harry is getting cold and she hopes that help will arrive soon.
Mrs Figg looks back and she doesn't understand why Dumbledore kept Harry at the Dursleys as she wrote to him and told him that they don't care about him or love him but he always said that they do love him and it's a misunderstanding and Harry needs to try harder.
Harry knows that help isn't coming and he has accepted that and he is fine with it.
“Harry, keep your eyes open. Help is on its way.” Mrs Figg says.
“It's ok Mrs Figg you don't need to lie to me.” Harry says.
“Harry it's not a lie the ambulance is coming I know it is.” Mrs Figg says.
Harry smiles and he knows that Mrs Figg is just trying to make himself feel better.
Just then Mrs Figg hears the sound of the ambulance and it pulls up and the paramedics come over to them.
One of the paramedics looked at what had happened and they told their partner what they needed and the partner went to the ambulance and grabbed the equipment.
The police car turned up and two officers came out of the car and they came over to the paramedics.
Mrs Figg tells the two cops what she had heard and what she believes to have happened and she tells them that she knows that Harry's uncle has done this.
The two police officers write down everything and they wonder why they have never been called to this address until now.
Mrs Figg tells them that the boy is called Harry and he goes to boarding school and he is only back for at least 2 weeks during the summer holidays and then he goes and stays with someone from school but when he was younger he was always sent to her house and he always looked like hell.
One of the cops takes down what Mrs Figg says and he asks what school Harry goes to and she says she doesn't know the school's name.
The paramedics are working on Harry and they stop what they are doing and look at each other.
The two paramedics can tell that Harry's leg has too much damage to it and his pressure has dropped dramatically so the only thing left to do is call a doctor so they can cut the leg and hopefully save Harry's life.
One of the paramedics informs the cops and tells them it's the only choice they have if they are going to save Harry.
The cops hope that Harry survives as from what information Mrs Figg has told them the boy has had a rough life.
The chief paramedic radios for a doctor to come to the address that they are at and they inform the person in the control room that the doctor needs to bring equipment for a leg amputation.
5 minutes later a doctor pulls up and he informs the cops who he is and shows them his ID badge and he then goes and speaks to the paramedics.
The paramedics and the doctor speak about what's going to happen and they all agree that it's the best option for Harry.
The doctor goes over to Harry and tells him that he has to cut his leg off and unfortunately it's the best option and Harry understands.
The cops decide to go and speak to Harry's aunt and uncle and find out why they haven't even come out of the house yet.
The lead cop knocks on the door and they wait for someone to answer and no one comes to the door so the cop knocks again and they get the same response.
“Someone is in there.” The other cop says.
“Looks like they aren't speaking to us.” The lead cop says.
“Probably trying to get their stories straight.” The second cop says.
“Well why don't we play them at their own game and pretend to leave and come back when they least expect it.” The lead cop says.
“I like that idea.” The lead cop says.
The doctor managed to cut Harry's leg off and the paramedics got him on the stretcher and they got him to the ambulance.
The doctor tells the two cops that they can speak to Harry at the Royal Surrey County Hospital and he jumps into the ambulance and it drives off.
Arabella Figg tells the cops that she is going home as she is in shock and they escort her home.
Once Mrs Figg is home and inside she goes to her fireplace and she opens up the floo network and she calls Severus Snape.
Severus' head appears and he is shocked that Arabella Figg is floo calling him.
“No time to explain Severus but you need to get to the Royal Surrey County Hospital immediately.” Mrs Figg says.
“Why would I go there?.” Severus asks.
“Because Vernon Dursley has hit Harry with his car and the boy has been taken to hospital.” Mrs Figg says.
“The boy's uncle. What about his aunt isn't she at the hospital?.” Severus asks.
“Petunia Dursley is just as bad as her husband and if she was driving the car she would make sure to kill the boy.” Mrs Figg says.
“‘I'm on my way.” Severus says and he disappears.
Severus knows who Petunia Dursley is as he has never forgotten that name and it doesn't matter if she has changed her last name as Severus still knows so much about Petunia Evens.
Severus Apparates to the hospital and he prays that Harry is going to be ok.
The Royal Surrey County Hospital.
Severus appears outside and he looks around and thankfully no one saw him but before Severus enters an ambulance comes into view and it stops at the entrance and some nurses and doctors come running out and they open the doors and get the stretcher out and Severus sees it's Harry and he sees that Harry has had his leg amputated and it makes Severus freeze and he watches the stretch enter the hospital and disappear from view.
