Summary
Harry, a tenacious and dogged auror after the war, has made it his task to hunt powerful dark magic artifacts to destroy them. One such artifact is said to be in the hands of the dark Flint family, which the war has laid ruins to; only the youngest son, Marcus Flint, remains.
The problem? Marcus Flint hasn’t been seen in years, living withdrawn and secluded from society in the family’s neglected mansion. Harry, determined, tries his luck and, under a guise, infiltrates Marcus Flint’s home, whom he finds to be quiet, guarded and swaying between misanthropy and melancholy. Over time they unwittingly grow close, things don’t seem to be as Harry believed them to and soon he stands in front of a terrible choice; continue his search for the artifact and betray Marcus’ trust or find out what really happened to the Flint family.Or: a Marcus/Harry story loosely inspired by Beauty and The Beast
