Summary
This is a story about how Jaster Mereel, Mand’alor, averted an unnatural disaster on the planet Mandalore, cancelled several lucrative contracts (including one on Korda VI), and acquired several quite astonishing children of his own, to add to the single one he already had.
In doing so, he also saves the Galaxy.
Part of the Rain in the Desert series, in which we see time travel from every point of view but the ones who have done it.

[It does occasionally verge on hysterical, in both meanings of the word. But you know, anytime the mass and horrific tragedy of the Clone Wars is averted *and* the clones are all saved… we’ve suddenly shifted from Horrific Tragedy Sometimes Played For Laughs and into Crack Treated Seriously. In my book this is true no matter how it happens, because the inherent horror of tragedy is its inevitability. I think the only way to avert it is to break down the walls and stop taking life, genre, and everything seriously, which naturally begets crack.]
