Work Text:
Nancy walked across the schools library, a stack of books in hand. Lucas asked her to write down some notes for him to study. Between practice and Hellfire he wouldn't have time to do it himself this week, and Nancy didn't mind. Note taking was a good way to keep her mind off.. other things, anyways.
And.. again. Someone was in her damn seat. Her seat. The one she sits in every day. Vickie, if Nancy remembered correctly from the last week of asking her to move.
Nancy sighed, walking over. "Hi, excuse me."
Vickie looked up from the book she was reading. Precalculus. "Hi."
"Uh, that's still my seat," Nancy said. She really was trying not to be rude, but you'd think Vickie would get the hint eventually. Nancy needed to sit in that seat, she claimed that seat first day of high school, and until now she's always had it.
"Oh, right," Vickie smiled, blushing like always. "Sorry." She got up, grabbing her bag and walking off. Just like that.
Nancy huffed, dropping into her seat.
She didn't want to think Vickie was doing it on purpose, the few times they've interacted she's always been nice. But.. really, Nancy has kicked her out of the seat every day. She's clearly embarassed by it, if the blushing is anything to go by. Does she assume Nancy isn't going to be here, maybe? Even then, how many times will it take for her to realize Nancy always spends lunch in the library?
She shook her head, pushing the thoughts away to focus on her notes.
