Work Text:
You should never fall asleep in Mufflin’s class during recess. Everybody knew that. Except Kyle, he seemed to have missed the memo. He spent all of last night studying, sleep deprivation catching up to him shortly after lunch break started. The sound of his head hitting his desk seemed to catch the attention of all the gals in the classroom.
“Oooh! Did he just fell asleep??” Nancy beamed.
“Seems like it.” Francine poked the side of Kyle’s face.
“Ladies, you know what to do…” Yo grinned mischievously.
“I’ll get the makeup!” Cher squealed.
“This is gonna be fun!” Lupe exclaimed as she held up his head for the makeover.
Each girl got a turn to apply makeup on the sleeping wizard’s face. First was the eyeshadow, a deep, purple, glittery eyeshadow for his eyelids. Then there was the eyeliner, a straight spiky line on each of his eyes. Then came the pitch black mascara on his eyelashes. Then some lipstick and lip gloss that complimented his red hair. And finally, a little bit of sparkly blush on his freckled cheeks.
Once they were done, they gently set his head back on the desk and left the classroom to go to the cafeteria, giggling all the while. A few more minutes passed before Kyle got woken up by a mighty need to go to the bathroom. He groggily stood up from his desk and went into the hallway. He was completely unaware of the few weird looks from the passerbys as he sleepily traversed to the restroom.
It was when he approached the sink he saw himself in the mirror, face full of makeup. His mind was instantly filled with infinite questions as he stared at his reflection. How long has he looked like this? Who did this?? Can it be removed??? Why did he look so pretty????
He stopped in his tracks at the last question. He stepped closer, hands gripping the sink as he moved his face even closer to the mirror. He was pretty.
He felt pretty.
It felt strange, but it felt right.
Kyle always liked girly stuff, but he usually kept his feminine interests to himself. He never even imagined what it would be like to be a girl. However, right now, he didn’t hate the idea. And he had to admit, whoever did the makeup did a good job. Besides the lipstick on his teeth and braces. But… he couldn’t walk around the school like this. People wouldn’t stop asking questions. He had to get rid of it.
He took one last look at himself before washing his face with water and scrubbing as hard as he could. It eventually came off, the only evidence of it being the few specks of glitter smeared across his face. He didn’t care enough to get them off, they’ll disappear eventually, right?
