Hudson’s whole body looks wired. His shoulders are tense and his pupils are blown. He looks like he’s vibrating.
“Slow down, Baby,” Connor tries to soothe.
“I don’t think I can slow down.”
Connor had guessed how drunk Hudson was going to be; he’d partly only given him the hotel name and his room number thinking Hudson was too drunk and too tired to act on it. That a handler or a manager would have caught him before he got into a cab. He knows that even at 4 a.m. someone, somewhere in Milan is probably desperately looking for Hudson. That a “we lost him” text has probably been sent in a panic.
He hadn’t thought Hudson would come.
