Summary
With the corrupted Azure Dragon eroding his mind, Yinyue-jun’s sanity hangs by a thread, the blood he sheds still limited to sinners. Despite knowing this, or perhaps because of it, Dan Heng invites Dan Feng to share their annual new year dinner.
“Are you certain he will accept? There isn’t much left of my old friend inside that person.” Jing Yuan doesn’t reveal anything in his expression, but Dan Heng knows he isn’t convinced.
“Even if it’s the Azure Dragon and not Dan Feng, he will come.” During full moons, when the Azure Dragon is closest to the surface, he has displayed a strange fascination with Dan Heng. “I will hold him in place.”
“If you’re certain, we could move to capture.”
“You know I won’t agree to that.”
“You still want to persuade him,” Jing Yuan says softly. “But Dan Heng, you know he is beyond persuasion.”
