Batman sat atop his perch on top of a building, looking over Pentagram City. He died recently, but that doesn't mean he's going to allow crime to run rampant. He isn't sure what he did to warrant being consigned to this realm, but this new home of his has more depraved people than even Gotham City, and he intends to deliver justice to each and every one of them. He just needs to figure out how exactly.

As he ponders, he sees a creature out of the corner of his eye. A massive, hulking thing that vaguely resembles a shark. It disappears behind a building, seemingly walking on its fins like a dog. Batman jumps down off the building, gliding to the streets below and following the creature. Once he gets close, it abruptly turns around, its massive mechanical eye staring at him, as if analyzing him. Soon, its lens dilates and it seems to grow more mellow. It sits its rear end down with a large thud and gazes at Batman, its tail wagging. The shark lets out a happy sound resembling a dog's bark.

"Who're you, big guy?" Batman asks it, not expecting a response. It uses a fin to gesture to a small piece of metal attached to its side. Batman walks closer to examine it, finding that it is a name tag of sorts. It has a serial number as well as what seems to be a name; 'Shok.Wav'. It sounds more like the name of a file, but whatever.

Batman cautiously walks around who was apparently Shok.Wav and examines it's incredible mechanical contrustion. The interlocking mechanisms slotting in and out of each other, allowing a natural and comfortable flow of movement was truly remarkable. Craftmanship even he did not posses in life.
As he got to the other side of Shok.Wav, he noticed a piece of metal jutting awkwardly under his fin.
"Is this hurting you?" He asked calmly, gently touching the piece of metal. A low, guttral sound echoed from within the shark, expressing its pain. Batman examines the interception point, determining that Shok.Wav won't bleed if he removed the shrapnel. So he did. With one swift movement, he yanked on the metal, freeing it from Shok.Wav's body.

Shok.Wav yelps, a mechanical sound, oddly dog like but sounding fake. Damien would surely love this big guy.

Walking forward, Batman brings the piece of metal forward, showing it to Shok.Wav. He sniffs it like a dog would before tearing it from Batman's hands and tossing it away almost in a fit of anger.

Batman backs up a few steps, on higher alert than before. Shok.Wav turns back to him, a goofy look on his face as his shark tail picks up speed, slapping and moving objects in its path.

"Calm down now, Boy." Batman tries to sooth, reaching out a hand. He's with with the movie, 'How to Train Your Dragon' and cringes a bit. If Tim were here to see this, hell, if any of his kids were here to see this, he would never live it down.

He advances none the less, cautiously approaching, with Shok.Wav lowering his head.

/Yup, definitely How to Train Your Dragon/

Batman places a hand on his.. Snout, of sorts, watching Shok.Wav's eye dilate, watch him closely, before his tongue comes out and he flips himself over, nearly knocking himself right into a building and collapsing the entire thing.

Batman cant help but laugh a bit. A true laugh. When *was* the last time he laughed, *truly* laughed like this?

Batman shrugs off the thought, going to give Shok.Wav more pets. How could he not? He was just a big ol' puppy, and he would rather die again than not give the big guy some love and attention.

As he smiles and pets as far as he can reach on the large shark-puppy mechanical.. Thing, a voice breaks the silence, calling out loudly,

"SHOK.WAV!!??"

The shark-puppy - you know what never mind putting it in a category- in turn perks up instantly, looking to Batman only briefly before picking him up and full spiriting to the voice.
