Stay today, Stay forever

Summary:

Counting Izuku's freckles proves to be a hard feat for Kirishima Eijirou. There are too many distractors; pouty lips, lots of kisses, and after two years of dating, turning that task into a 24/7 job is something he's considered.

Work Text:

"Twelve, thirteen, fourt— Oh, nevermind..."

"What? Why?" Izuku asks, curiosity piquing at the frowning tone in Eijirou's voice.

"I'm not sure if it's a freckle," he explains, scratching the little something on Izuku's naked back, "Or a mole, or just a piece of chocolate...?"

"Why would I have chocolate on my back?" Izuku's tone is both curious and accusatory, but the playful quality of it is not lost to the redhead.

"That’s a mystery," Eijirou answers enigmatically, yet his munching noises puts him on evidence.

Izuku pouts. Even if Eijirou’s using his hunched back as an eating table, there isn’t a single bit of intent to get away from him in Izuku. So, undeterred by the redhead’s messy eating habits, he keeps on playing the addictive game he has on his phone while the renewed counting from Eijirou keeps increasing.

“Fifteen, sixt—”

“Weren’t you at fourteen?”

“Ah, you’re right.”

The soft digits on his skin makes a smile crawl onto his face, and the noisy puff of air that comes from his mouth the moment he feels the crescents of Eijirou’s nails scratching at his back is both accusing and amused.

“Another piece of chocolate?”

“It’s not my fault you’re a chocolate magnet,” the redhead says, trying to sound affronted. Izuku doesn’t need to look over his shoulder to know there’s a smile curving Eijirou’s lips.

“Tell me again why you are using me as an eating table?”

“Because you love my lap!”

Izuku won’t — can’t — deny that, not when it’s glaringly obvious he’s more than comfortable sitting on the redhead’s lap, a place he can claim as his own as much as he can the title of Kirishima Eijirou’s boyfriend.

“Still, that doesn’t explain why you’re eating on my naked back.”

“I was eating chocolate before you came. Also you said it was too hot.”

“I did say it was hot, but you just wanted to—”

“—count your freckles and make you comfortable?” Eijirou says, words overlapping Izuku’s in an attempt to offer a far more selfless explanation of what he had in mind the moment he prompted Izuku to take off his shirt.

“To count my freckles and have an eyeful of my abs,” Izuku corrects pointedly, and this time he looks over his shoulder to pout at the redhead. Eijirou’s heart warms up at the sight and his lips itch, yearning for Izuku’s rosy ones.

“Manly abs,” Kirishima says almost proudly as he cradles Izuku’s head in his hand and kisses him chastely on his lips. “Also, fourteen,” he counts, words mouthed against Izuku’s lips in a loving, playful gesture.

“Where?”

“Here.”

Their lips come together again, and Izuku’s attention switches from his game to the warm body behind him. Losing no time, he turns around to straddle Eijirou’s lap, and wraps his arms around the redhead's neck in an action that speaks of the many times they'd done this before; so many that it has become embedded in Izuku's mind as if it were second nature.

“Seriously?”

“Yes, it’s really, really tiny,” he sing-songs, and Izuku smiles, “But it’s definitely there.”

“On my lips?” Izuku’s playful tone of incredulity matches his disbelieving features. Eijirou appreciates both before grinning at him.

“Ah, it’s on the corner, but...”

‘But you want to kiss me,’ Izuku thinks, mouth curving in response to Eijirou’s shrug. Finding no motives to stop Eijirou’s lips from falling upon his, he meets him halfway once again.

Within the walls of Eijirou’s apartment, his laugh resonates, candid and free, and Izuku is close to suspecting the redhead just read his thoughts.

“Hey Izuku.” Izuku answers his boyfriend with a happy humming noise as Eijirou taps their foreheads together.

When he unveils his eyes, he finds a shining sea of ruby pouring over him with affection. It’s tangible enough to make his tummy jump excitedly, giddily, as if it’s the first time Eijirou has ever looked at him, just like that day almost two years ago.

Izuku feels the need to reciprocate his affection, so he does; a kiss on Eijirou’s nose, one on the cheek, and one on the mouth come one after another, unleashing the bubbling laughter inside the redhead’s chest. It comes out as little puffs of air as Eijirou tries to keep the gap between his lips closed enough to catch Izuku’s pecks.

“My turn…,” the redhead says a little too excitedly, framing Izuku’s face between his hands and leaning towards him.

Izuku closes his eyes, trying to imprint the feeling of the lips showering kisses on his face into his memory.

“I don’t think I can finish today; counting your freckles, that is,” the redhead says between kisses.

“Well, maybe you won’t finish today, but we have a lot of time,” Izuku says certainly.

“Yeah, but maybe if you stayed today I would...”

Izuku smiles, cheeks almost catching fire but not hinting denial at the invitation.

Whether it’s movie night, cuddling night or intimate night, Izuku’s more than eager to jump at the chance of anything that has Kirishima Eijirou’s presence attached to it.

“No, okay, let me rephrase that, this is not what I was going for...”

Izuku blinks, once, then twice, confused.

“I called you today because I wanted to ask you something, I...”

The redhead sighs through his nose, the warm puff of air coming to move some of the green hairs falling on Izuku’s forehead before a determined glint shines in his eyes.

“If you stayed today, I might finish counting your freckles, but if I don’t then maybe I’ll need another day—”

“You want me to stay the whole week?”

“Yes!” It’s adorable how Eijirou lights up at the prospect. Yet, almost as quickly as it comes, the excitement goes away, leaving a frowning Eijirou shaking his head in a gesture Izuku doesn’t know how to read. “No! I mean yes but...Ok just...”

“Ei?”

Izuku’s fingertips touch Eijirou’s cheek, a gesture that prompts as much as it questions his stuttering.

“You can stay today,” the redhead says steadily, taking Izuku’s hand in his, “And even if I get to finish counting your freckles by then, you can also stay the next day, and then the next, and the next, and...”

And Izuku gets it. Confirmed by the expectancy shining in Eijirou’s eyes, Izuku catches the hidden meaning.

Blood pumping loud and fast in his veins and heart beating strongly in his chest, he kisses Eijirou one more time.

“Yes.” Eijirou smiles against his mouth, canines grazing his lips in a smile that Izuku interprets as a victory grin. “Let’s live together, Ei.”

Notes:

I wrote a full fic (nervermind is just 1,000 words long) without a single hint of angst or drama! *pats herself*
Also if this is the first time you're reading KiriDeku go to OptikTop (Bel) dashboard and read all of her KiriDeku! It's so beautiful!
