Sora finds himself in a fantastical world of dragons and vikings. These dragons are much scarier in person than they are in any movies or books. And yet, a young Viking named Hiccup, has managed to take one down, a Night Fury, the trickiest dragon alive. He managed to tame it, despite the wishes of his father, and refuses to kill dragons. This was an idea my sister had, so I wrote it for her!

Chapter 1: Landing

Chapter Text

Port Royal. That sure was an exciting world. Captain Jack Sparrow, the captain of the Black Pearl, was cursed when he stole some old Aztec coins. Sora had helped him return them, and break the curse that was on not only him, but other pirates as well. Sure, it was fun, but it was a little scary. Their curse was to be transformed into skeletons in the moonlight. They couldn't die, but, of course, Sora didn't know he was cursed until after he was stabbed by Barbossa. Sora thought Jack had actually died until he stepped backwards, into the moonlight, to show he was a skeleton, and that the sword had gone right through him. Sora had nearly fainted, but Goofy helped him.

Seeing a skeleton in books is much different than seeing a skeleton in person. Especially if it's walking around and talking instead of being immobile and inanimate. Thankfully, they ended the curse and returned all the weird cursed coins back where they belong. Jack was turned back to normal, along with all the other pirates who were also cursed. Will wasn't dead, which was all a little confusing to Sora, but he was just grateful he lived, so he didn't ask questions.

Sora really liked the pirate's life. He found it to be thrilling and exciting, with a hint of danger. It was exciting, but Sora would like to take it easy for a little bit. After all, it was sort of stressful, with Jack being dead, nearly dying, Will dying, all in all, there was a lot of death involved. Sora sighed of relief when Donald lifted the ship off the ground.

"What's wrong, Sora?" Goofy asked. "I thought you liked that world?"

"I do," Sora sighed, slumping in his chair. "It was just exciting, Maybe a little too exciting. I want to go somewhere calm and relaxing for a while."

"You know that won't happen," Donald replied.

"Nowhere could be as thrilling as that, Donald," Sora replied, closing his eyes. "I don't think anywhere has as much death as Port Royal did."

"He does make a point, Donald," Goofy agreed. "There was a lot of death there."

"Yeah, I guess there was a bit of exciting things there," Donald replied. "But I don't think you're going to get a chance to close your eyes much, Sora."

"Just five minutes is fine," Sora said.

The Gummiship flew calmly and softly through the field. A large asteroid drifted across their path lightly. "Hey, what's that?" Goofy asked, pointing out the window.

"It looks like another world," Donald said. "Sora! We're approaching another world!"

"Wake me when we get there," Sora replied, waving his arm weakly.

"He must really be pooped," Goofy said.

"Seems so," Donald said. "I didn't think that was too exciting for him."

"I can hear you," Sora said.

Donald flew the Gummiship closer to the new world. On the top is a large town on a cliff edge, with a large tower in the center. The bottom is home to a large volcano. "This looks exciting," Donald said.

"Do ya think it's too exctin'?" Goofy whispered, nodding his head towards Sora, now asleep in his chair.

Donald stared at him for a moment. "Nah, he's alright," Donald quacked, pulling the ship closer to the world.

The Gummiship lowered into large bushes. It hissed as the engine slowed, then came to a stop. "Alright, Sora! We're here!" Donald yelled loudly. Sora didn't move. "I think he's actually sleepin'" Goofy said.

Donald put his finger up to his beak, then tiptoed behind Sora's chair. Donald snickered as he lowered himself behind it. He counted silently to himself, then jumped up behind Sora's chair, scaring him. Sora yelped then, fell off his chair. Donald and Goofy laughed, while Sora stood from the ground and dusted himself off. "You know, a warning next time would've been nice." Donald and Goofy laughed on the way out.

"Woah, what is this place?" Sora asked.

"I don't know," Donald said. "I thought it was one of Mickey's but now I'm not so sure."

"I don't recognize this place," Goofy said. "D'ya suppose it's new?"

"Well, there's only one way to find out!" Sora cheered. "Let's go!"
