Work Text:

What's going on?

Where is she?

Why does her body ache?

Who is she?

She sat with her knees tucked to her chest. Why was she in a grave? Why did she feel so..

Empty.

She kept thinking about someone.

She didn't know who it was, just… little snippets.

“Zira! Zira! Zira! Zira!”

She heard a distant voice calling out an unfamiliar name. Who is that?

Who is Zira?

Again– what's happening?

It's so cold.

She could only see out of her right eye.

She could only assume that she was wearing (for some reason) broken glasses.

She felt frantic footsteps approaching.

“Zira! Zira!” The same voice called out to her again.

Upon hearing it, she felt just a little warmer.

What is this?

She stood up on unsteady legs.

“Zira!”

Finally, she looked at who it was.

This looked like the girl from her little thoughts.

She had.. no idea. No idea who this girl was.

But somehow, her eyes softened.

She didn't like that feeling.

“Zira!”

She felt a warm presence wrap around her.

No.

“What the—”

She pushed this strange girl away a little too harshly,

“Stop it! Who are you?! Why are you—”

Why did she feel like this?

Does she know this girl?

She felt.. horrible. For pushing her.

Was she not supposed to do that?

“... Zira?”

Oh.

Zira must've been her own name.

How did she forget that?

“Zira! It's me, Aika!”

Aika.

She remembered that name… kind of.

“Who is that? I don't know who you…”

Why did she feel so bad?

She didn't even know who this girl was.

“You.. don't remember me?”

Slowly, Zira shook her head.

Zira.

That’s her name?

Maybe this ‘Aika’ girl wasn't lying.

Zira seemed more familiar than anything.
