I time travelled, Tensei!

Summary:

While defending class 1-A from a villain attack (sent by none other than the League of Villains), Shota Aizawa and Tenya Iida are sent 5 years into the past where they possess their younger selves. Now it's up to Aizawa and Tenya to face the ultimate ethical dilemma: get home safely and save Class 1-A, or change the timeline and save the world.

Chapter 1: Time's Alliance

Chapter Text

"Ah, I'm so beat." Kirishima sighed, flopping onto one of the lime-coloured sofas in the common room of the brand new 1-A Heights Alliance.

"You and me both," Sero replied, "You done unpacking?

"I think so."

"Feels good, right?" Midoriya smiled, his voice filled with relief.

"I know we could've died, but it's exciting to be living here!" Kaminari remarked, sitting down on the armrest next to Midoriya.

"Mhmm!"

"A unified class. It's the perfect way to increase our cooperation and discipline. How smart!" Every three or four words was accompanied by an enthusiastic gesticulation from Tenya.

Kirishima flashed a tooth grin as he turned around to face Tenya, "So you never relax, do you?..."

Kirishima's voice trailed off, his fond expression turning to one of fear. Tenya's rigid pose loosened ever so slightly.

"Kirishima-san? Are you alright?"

He turned to face the windows behind him, adjusting his glasses so he could see into the dark, past the ceiling lights reflecting onto the polished glass.

The outside wasn't dark at all.

The outside glowed. It glowed a misty, inky, familiar dark shade of purple.

A shade of purple seen in both the USJ attack and at Summer Training Camp.

A shade of purple which was slowly seeping through the grilles of the windows.

Flame-like, yellow eyes opened.

Kurogiri.

A shriek could be heard from the other side of the corridor where the girls were, a tendril of mist lashing towards them from the window, accompanied by the clunk of what had to be Kurogiri's neck brace trying to break the glass pane. With a short sputter from his calves, Tenya jumped to shield his classmates, watching the tendril reach forward again. Another clunk could be heard.

"EVERYONE CALMLY MAKE THEIR WAY TOWARDS THE EXIT AND GET AIZAWA-SENSEI. IT APPEARS THE VILLAIN IS TRYING TO ENTER!"

Tenya instructed his classmates, gesturing wildly as if he were a police officer instructing cars at an intersection where the traffic lights were broken. Like cars, his classmates' panicked noises filled the air as they all scrambled to fit into one lane; the lane leading out the front door.

With a loud, decisive clatter, the mist villain broke through the window, mercilessly consuming the dormitory at a rapid speed.

Iida also scrambled, though it was to ensure his classmates could make it out before the mist caught any of them. He was stopped about a metre from the doorway.

"Iida!" Uraraka called, running back towards him with Sero trailing behind her, "Kaminari's sent a ping to Aizawa-sensei, though he's on patrol at the moment and might take a bit to head back- We've neutralised Kurogiri at the U.S.J.! We can do it again!!"

Uraraka bounced on her heels, looking past Iida to locate Kurogiri's neck-brace again, the girl jumped forward as her hands scraped across the metal and activated her quirk. Like at the U.S.J., Kurogiri began to float. Sero took the opportunity to shoot his tape at Kurogiri's neck-brace, flinging the villain at the ceiling. While Kurogiri faced the consequences of whiplash, the mist continued to spread, only slower. The trio of students stayed alert while the villain struggled against the tape.

The mist pushed the trio right towards the entryway, far from where they had initially neutralised Kurogiri, who was struggling against the tape...

...until a sudden snap. The mist encroaching on the ground came racing towards the three. Sero lunged forward, two more strips of tape shooting from his elbows aimed directly at the silver glint in the dark. Uraraka jumped toward Iida, hoping she would make contact with him in time for him to not be swallowed by the void.

"PROBLEM CHILDREN!" Came Aizawa's panicked voice. Their teacher ran into the building while his capture weapon did the evacuation work. He caught Sero mid-lunge, tape stretching briefly then snapping as he was relocated outside.

Tenya made sure to push Uraraka to safety. He could hear his friend shout from the door, a shiver of fear evident in her voice, "Iida!! Aizawa-sensei!!!"

That's when Tenya noticed the mist had already crawled halfway up Aizawa's leg, and was beginning to anchor his feet into the darkness as well.

In a last ditch attempt to save himself and his teacher, Tenya prepared his engines.

"RECIPRO..."

The mist pulsed a dangerous purple as Tenya activated his quirk. He felt his engines shift gears quickly, but the mist was quicker to crawl up his legs and muffle his engines entirely.

The burst never came.

Everything faded into a misty, inky, familiar, dark shade of purple.
