Dean's List

Summary:

Ty and Jaimie tell Dean about the Bisexual List.

Notes:

Shows up 17 years later with fanfic and Starbucks.

Sorry I’m late to the party. I first saw Logan Marshall-Green as Trey in The OC back in 2004/2005. Dean’s entire vibe is Bi. It’s heavily implied. It’s canon.

RIP Nicki Aycox :(

I first saw her in Jeepers Creepers 2 in 2003 and then in Supernatural in 2006 when she played Meg.

I own nothing.

Thank you to anyone who kudos or comments.

Do not put my work into anything AI.

Work Text:

Ty walked into HQ and over to Jaimie, where she was sitting in a chair opposite from Dean. Dean was sitting across from her, in a chair with his legs up on the armrest of another chair.

Ty stood over Jamie. “Jaimie.” He whispered at her.

Jaimie looked up. “Hey. What’s up?”

Ty glanced at Dean, who was busy drinking his coffee - no doubt with oat milk and two sugars. He turned back at Jaimie. “I was hangin’ with these guys earlier - “ Ty started. Jaimie looked at Ty with a serious expression. “- drug dealers." He continued. "You know. The ones I’ve gotten in with.”

Jaimie nodded, familiar with the case.

Ty glanced at Dean again. Dean looked up from his coffee at Ty. Ty quickly turned away, looking back down at Jaimie. “Have you ever heard of this list.” He started. “There’s this list. On the internet.” Jaimie looked even more serious. “It’s called The Bisexual List. It’s like a checklist about being bisexual.”

Jaimie blinked. “The what?” She asked, perplexed.

“Well, you know bisexuality - “ Ty started.

Jaimie gave Ty a look. “I know what it means.” Then gave Ty a pointed look. “They’re drug dealers.”

“Well, even they have every day conversations.” Ty told her.

Jaimie thought about it for a second. “True.” She said.

“Well - “ Ty motioned over to Dean. Jamie glanced over at Dean before looking back at Ty, who motioned with his eyes towards Dean again.

“Let me see that list.” Jamie said.

"I didn't take notes.” Ty said. “But I can tell you what those guys said.”

“This is gonna be good." Jamie stood up. "I’m writing this down.” She walked over to the desk. She grabbed a pen and a notepad and walked back over to where Ty was and sat back down. She flipped open the notepad and wrote 'The Bisexual List' at the top of the first page and then held the pen at the ready, waiting for Ty to start talking.

"Okay." Ty said. "They say that bisexual people don't sit properly."

Ty and Jamie slowly looked over at Dean and the way he was sitting.

And then slowly turned back to each other and nodded.

"Yeah." Ty said.

"Yep." Jamie said, writing 'Doesn't Sit Properly' on the notepad and putting a check mark next to it.

"Said bisexual's are dramatic." Ty continued.

Jaimie thought about it. "Yeah. Kind of? In his own way." She said.

"His whole - " Ty gestured to Dean's everything. "Dean-ness."

Jaimie wrote down 'Kind Of Dramatic - Dean's Dean-ness' and put a check mark before Ty continued.

"Supposedly there's a lot of leaning. Like leaning on things." Ty said.

"Like walls or pillars?" Jaimie suggested, knowing the answer.

"Or against tables." Ty said, dramatically-serious.

The two shared a look that said they'd seen Dean do those things before.

“I’ve seen him put his foot up on things when he’s standing, for like - No reason.” Ty said.

Jamiie nodded, indicating she’d seen him do that too.

Jaimie wrote down 'Leans Against Things - Pillars, Walls and Tables Etc' and put a check mark. Then wrote down ‘Puts Foot Up On Things While Standing - Reason: Bisexual?’. And put another check mark.

"They mentioned somethin' about bisexuals wearing either a leather jacket or a peacoat." Ty told her.

"Why can't they wear both." Jaimie commented.

"They probably can." Ty said.

Jamie and Ty's eyes slide over to Dean who was - as usual - wearing his signature leather jacket. They turned back to each other and shared knowing look, Jaimie writing down 'Leather Jacket' in the notepad and putting another check mark.

"I think that's it." Ty finished.

Jaimie looked at Ty with a sly smile and then looked over at Dean. “Hey, Dean!” She said, motioning him to come over.

Dean looked up, standing up and placing his coffee down on the table before he started walking over.

Ty looked from Dean to Jaimie. “What are you doing.” He whispered loudly.

Jaimie just smiled before turning back to Dean as he sauntered over. He stopped in front of her. She looked up at him. “Does this look familiar to you?” She asked him, holding up the notepad.

Dean glanced at Ty and turned back to Jaimie. “What’s this?” He asked and took the notepad from her. He flipped it open, eyeing his two teammates before glancing down at it. He looked at it for a few seconds, before looking at Jaimie and Ty. “You think this is me?” Having seen the word's 'Dean's Dean-ness' written down and figured the list was referring to himself.

Ty eyed him. “Do you think this is you?” He asked, slowly. "From like - Some real, internal soul searching type stuff."

"Why are there check marks beside 'em?" Dean asked, eyeing the notepad.

"Just some observations." Jaimie told him.

Dean looked at Jamie and Ty. "You think I'm bi?" He asked.

"Well." Jaimie stared, glancing over at Ty.

Ty glanced back. Then looked at Dean. "The list kinda fits." He told him.

Jaimie turned back to Dean.

Dean glanced back down at the list and looked it over.

Dean looked between Jaimie, Ty and the notepad. "You think I can't sit right?" He started, as he read through it. "What's my Dean-ness? What does that even mean?" He asked. "That I lean on walls and pillars and tables? I put my foot up on - That’s just how I stand!" He continued. “Wearing a leather jacket - You think because of this list, that means I might be bisexual?" He looked back up at Jaimie and Ty. "Where'd you even get this from?"

"Drug dealers." Jaimie told him. She glanced over at Ty. "Well, Ty did."

Ty looked like Jaimie had betrayed him, but not seriously. He then turned to Dean. "I was in with some guys." Ty rushed to explain. "And they just started talkin' about it."

Dean looked at Ty. "You takin' the word of drug dealers now."

"No. But everyone has every day conversations. Even drug dealers." Ty told him.

Dean paused for a second before responding. "Fair point." Everyone had regular conversations in their day to day lives. Even drug dealers.

"And it's on the internet." Ty said.

"Oh, well if it's on the internet." Dean complained. “You think this list makes me bi?" He asked, looking between Jaimie and Ty.

"I think the question is, do you think it does?" Ty asked.

"Look, just because I happen to do these things - “ Dean regarded the list “Doesn’t make me bi.” He said. He handed the notepad back to Jaimie, who took it.

There was a few second of silence.

”Doesn’t make me not bi.” Dean said quietly with a look that said he was really thinking about it. "I dunno." He paused. “Maybe.” He finally said, shrugging. He turned around to walk back over to his chair(s) and sat down lazily in it, putting his feet back up on the armrest of the other chair.

“Maybe?” Ty asked carefully.

“Maybe.” Dean said, with a smirk that said the answer was actually yes. He went back to drinking his coffee.

Jaimie and Ty smiled.
