Chapter Text
---
Travis exited the empty, hollow apartment with quiet movements, too silent than usual. His usually empty, blank expression was replaced with an upset expression on a tear-streaked face.
He slowly made his way down from the hotel building and to his car, snow crunching and turning into the shape of his shoes. His gaze was low, focused on the ground beneath his own two feet he dared to walk with forced energy.
Hell, he didn’t even notice that cashier from afar in the alleyway watching with concern and worry, or the trees that seemingly had someone hiding behind him but perhaps it was just another hallucination.
''I hate you.,,
Those words kept repeating in his head as he drove down the dark road, only visible faintly from the street lamp-posts and the light from his car’s headlights.
Silence, except for the sound of ringing in Travis’ ears loudly, and intense, fast heartbeat pounding against his ribcage like it was about to burst out from overwhelming emotion.
He didn't want to do this.
he doesn't want to do this.
Too bad everything has to end this way for him.
This is the only way that doesn’t make him beg in the streets like a pathetic dog whining for treats.
. . .
The tires’ screeched as it came to a halt, in front of a snowy forest. Ominous and mystery swirled around the air like smoke, like the forest itself is the danger despite there’s nothing in them. Just silence for minutes.
…
Shizo.
Stop it.
Freak.
Just stop it.
I hate you.
I’m sorry.
Did everything mean nothing to you?
It did. I just—
!
Ah, Travis was getting ahead of himself again as he stayed in the motionless car for a minute, his breathing slightly uneven and heavy as thoughts started to consume him once again.
He weakly opened the car door and exited it, metallic and earthy-like odor hit his nose almost in an instant.
He closed the door shut with weak force, not even bothering to check if it’s locked properly as he started to walk deep into the ominous forest.
Tired, hollow eyes just mindlessly took in the darkness of the cold, chilly area surrounding him for one last time, A figure of a familiar hexagon-headed like person was hidden behind the trees like it was taunting him for..everything.
The walk took a few minutes before finally he came to a stop infront of a shovel buried into something near a tree.
He took the shovel, grip trembling but tight as he started to dig into the snow, most specifically where something was seemingly buried. Hell he even had to get down to his knees and dig with his hands no matter how red it got till the object buried deep into the snow came into view.
A black gun, specifically a black slightly blue tinted, beautiful pistol, glinting underneath the moonlight with mischief.
His soft, scarred, and cool yellow golden-skinned hand reached out for the pistol, trembling and shaky.
He placed it on his lap for a few moments, eyes feeling heavy with overwhelming emotion and something like…Guilt.
It was eating him away, his insides felt like it was churning and swirling around with each slight movement even if it was small. Everything felt nauseous for him, the cold, the wind, the trees rustling and swaying, the faint noise of a car driving pass, by the pistol, by himself made him feel nauseated.
He slowly grabbed the gun once again, grip now firmer as he brought the tip of the gun to his temple, every memory came rushing to his head at once like it was begging him to not do it.
Too bad, he HAD to.
ᴍᴀᴋᴇ ᴍᴇ ɴᴏʀᴍᴀʟ ɴᴇxᴛ ᴛɪᴍᴇ, ɢᴏᴅ.
Then, the trigger was pulled.
Everything came in an instant before Travis’s eyes.
His vision blurred, his beloved cap flying off from his head as blood escaped and splattered everywhere from the other side of his head as the bullet came the other side like it was a car driving through a tunnel.
Lightheaded, pain was all Travis felt for one last time before he fell onto the ground, chest heaving heavily as his eyes blurred and swirled everything in sight.
'im so sorry, devin.'
He thought at last before he took his last breath as his consciousness and feelings started to fade away.
breathing going shallow before his lungs stopped taking in air entirely. Whole body shutting down.
no one will care anymore.
he'd just be on a missing poster maybe or not at all.
he'd be forgotten after a few months anyways.
He'll just be a faint little memory from now on.
