Chapter Text
Freddy
Freddy, hello?
Freddy!
“Freddy, WAKE UP!”
A white feathered hand waved in his face. He looked over to see Chica shaking him aggressively, trying to get his attention. She had a worried expression on her face till she saw that the bear was conscious again.
“Thank GOD you’re back! You’ve been out of it for what feels like hours!” She stopped shaking him at this point and now was just looking at him with concerned eyes.
“Oh, I apologize. I must have zoned out for a moment. How long was I out for exactly?” He checked his watch which showed the time to be 11:28 so he couldn’t have been out for that long right?
“Well, we got done with the last show of the night at nine– which was amazing! Then we all talked a bit– well, all of us besides Monty; He was off sulking about something as always. After that we all split up into pairs: me and you, Roxy and Monty, and, of course, Foxy and Bonnie– those two are so cute together! We went to my room and we talked about our days and everything, and while I was talking about what I plan to do with Roxy on Valantine’s Day you stared at the floor for like a whole four minutes, but it felt like hours! Are you sure you're okay?”
“Uh… yeah?... Yeah. I think I’m okay.”
“Do you want to talk about it?” She placed a comforting hand on his and awaited his response.
“I was just thinking about something that happened during the show.” He was still trying to wrap his own head around it, to little success. Perhaps Chica might have some insight into what he’s feeling?
“What happened during the show, Freddy?”
“While we were performing, there was this brief moment where Monty and I locked eyes while his sunglasses were down. It was such a short moment but I am unable to stop thinking about it. What do you think, Chica?” He pulled his eyes away from the carpeted floor he was staring at to look at the avian. He watched as her lips curled as she thought about it.
“What did you see in his eyes, like emotionally?” He sat and thought for a moment, recalling the scene in his head.
“He… He looked happy. Like he was genuinely happy. But… when he saw me and we locked eyes, his expression changed. It did not look negative though. It was like his expression softened?” He gave her a pleading look, hoping she might understand what he means.
“That’s weird?” She tilts her head a bit, confused.
“It’s not just that either, but ever since then I can not stop myself from thinking about him!” He groaned as he told her everything going on in his head. Well, not everything, there were a few certain details he chose to omit. As he went on a smile started to creep onto the chicken’s face, realising what he’s feeling.
“So, what do you think?” He finishes, nearly out of breath.
She could barely contain her excitement, to the point she was nearly shaking, but she took a deep breath to calm down for Freddy’s sake. “Okay okay… Freddy, do you like Monty?”
“Of course I like Monty, he’s my friend!” He said earnestly, completely missing what she meant of course.
“No, Freddy! I mean do you like him?” She made a little ‘get it?’ motion with her hands as she smiled at the bear’s obliviousness, finding it endearing.
“I am not quite sure I follow. What do you mean by ‘like’” He questioned and mimicked her previous hand gesture.
“Freddy, you really are a lovable idiot!” She said with no malice in her words. “But what I’m trying to say is do like Monty in maybe a different way from how you like, say, Roxy?”
The singer thought about it for a moment. “Perhaps I do care about Monty differently than I care for my other friends? I do feel different around him, there is this warm feeling in my abdomen when he is near me.” He worked it all out, practically talking to himself at this point. “Chica, do you thi-”
He’s interrupted when Chica hugs him and starts jumping up and down. “Freddy! YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON MONTY!”
“Hey, Gator! Take this and go wipe off your face.” The wolf tossed him a damp washcloth from his bathroom. He caught it and got off the couch to head to the bathroom. He grumbled some complaint as he slid past her and placed himself next to her in front of the mirror. He let out a sigh as he took the washcloth to his face and began wiping off his makeup.
Roxy took her eyes off herself and looked at Monty through the reflection of the mirror while continuing to wipe her own makeup off. “What’s up with you? You’ve been acting weird all night.” She asked, studying him for a reaction.
“Nothin’... ‘M jus’ tired is all.” He muttered, not bothering to look over to her.
“I know the difference between tired Monty and brooding Monty, so tell me, what’s wrong?” She finished wiping her face off and Monty was done soon after. He finally turned to look at her, his scales now free of purple makeup. “‘M jus’ thinkin’ ‘bout some stuff, that’s all.” He brushed her off as he slid past her and made his way back to the couch, throwing himself onto it.
“Is it about Fazbear?” She accused, seating herself on the gator’s vanity.
“Wha-... H-How d’ya know ‘bout that?!” He stumbled over his words, quickly rolling over to look at the wolf.
“Don’t think I don’t see you eyeing him up when you think no one’s watching. And not to mention the plushie of him you hide under your bed– who knows what you’ve been doing with that?” She teased but based on his reaction it might not be just a joke.
He attempted to hide his growing embarrassment with pillows but it proved to be futile. “Fine… yer right, it’s about that damn bear.” He relented.
“Okay, so what? You want to fuck him, what’s the big deal?” Monty glared.
“I’ll tell ya, but ya got to promise not ta laugh?”
“Okay? I promise I won’t laugh.” She put her hand up, pretending to swear an oath.
“I do like ‘im… b-but this is different– I mean yeah, I do wanna,” He made a suggestive gesture. “But, it’s not jus’ that though. I want more than that… I dunno!” He threw his arms down, frustrated.
“Hey, you oversized lizard. I think I know what you're feeling.” She said, taking his attention away from the ceiling.
“Ya do?”
“Yeah, it’s called a crush you doofus!” She laughed while he laid there stunned. He’s The Montgomery Gator. He doesn’t get crushes. People crush on him, not the other way around.
After a few long moments of Monty internally freaking out he calmed down enough to ask: “W-What do I do?”
“I’d start with actually talking to him instead of stalking him like some prey,” She got up off the vanity. “And it would help alot if you were nice to him, not your usual moody self,” She said as she made her way to the door. “But I’ve got to go now, so bye, Gaytor!” And she was gone before he had a chance to say anything back, leaving him to stew in his thoughts.
Fazbear, why do ya have be so pr-
“Also, try not to make too much of a mess with that plushie tonight!”
