"So, um..." June hesitated, turning her head to Dakota, "I don't want to presume, but, like..."
Dakota hummed, tilting her head in confusion, "Hmm?"
"Well, date..." June was getting nervous, feeling a blush rise up to her cheeks. She fiddled with her hands, "End of date... standing on doorstep... there's an, um... y-y'know..."
"June, are you asking for a goodnight kiss?" Dakota asked, leaning forward. Every word out of her mouth sounded so sweet, but June's name especially sounded magical.
To this, June squeaked in excitement, and Dakota couldn't help but smile a bit wider as blush dusted her own cheeks, "Sure, alright."
Dakota leaned in, and June couldn't help but squeal like a schoolgirl. She really didn't know what she expected, but the way Dakota wrapped her arms around June had her heart pounding. Dakota closed the gap, and June immediately found herself taking in Dakota in a way she never had before. Wrapping her arms around Dakota's waist, June lifted herself up a little, finding every way to enjoy the kiss.
Every way June had thought about how wonderful it would be to kiss Dakota was still undershooting just how amazing it truly was. From the first time she fell in love with Dakota, at that 100k milestone MMS held, to mere minutes ago. Every single thought paled in comparison to how wonderful it actually was. There was something so soft, so warm in that moment, even though snow coated the world around them.
June couldn't be happier right here.
When they finally parted, they still held each other close, June still lifted off the ground. The look in Dakota's eyes was that of pure love, and June reciprocated those feelings exactly. This, this is what June dreamed of. After a moment, June closed the gap again, soaking up the feeling. She wouldn't trade this for the world.
