Talk to me, Doc

Summary:

Bobby is addicted to chems. Piper WILL get her to quit. She is determined.

Work Text:

“Talk to me, Doc. How… often is she coming here?”

Doctor Sun turned his gaze toward Bobby, who was busy talking to Arturo, before fixing it back onto Piper.

“Well, it’s… She makes a visit about twice a week. She only requests medicine or bandages for her injuries. I have offered her Addictol, but she simply just declines. Her health appears to be deteriorating quickly… I’m sure that you’ve been noticing withdrawal symptoms?”

Piper scoffed lightly.

Damn you, Blue.

Bobby swore. She swore that she was talking to someone about her addiction.

Piper has tried to take away and destroy Bobby's chems and would try to empty out her bottles of alcohol, but she always hid them so well.

Doctor Sun cleared his throat, bringing Piper back to reality.

She shook her head, as if clearing her brain from the potential fight that she and Bobby were going to have when they returned to Sanctuary.

“Ahg, sorry, sir. Yes, she’ll shake, get awful headaches, and will get real sluggish after a while,” She sighed and wrapped her arms around herself. “She’s never acted like this before.”

The man nodded, reading a piece of paper that had other symptoms that he’d noticed a few days prior. “And what chems does she use the most?”

“Psycho and Mentats but she also sometimes drinks so..”

“I see, er-I could give you two free Addictols, if you’d like. She’s done a lot for the Commonwealth and Diamond City. Consider it on the house.”

“Oh you will? Thank you so much, Doctor Sun! Now, how many puffs will she need to take a day? Or an hour…”

He handed her the two pink and white inhalers, “Start with only one puff a day, it will take awhile to get into her system. It packs quite a powerful punch in medical terms.”

Oh, but of course actually trying to get Bobby to take the medicine would be insanely difficult. She was going to make the ill woman take these meds if it was the last thing that she was going to do.
