Chapter Text
Ringo wakes up, it's just another day like any other. It's bleak, what is there to live for anyways? Life feels so empty, a never ending cycle.
He lets out a groan as he crawls out of bed and staggers towards a mirror in his room; he looks a right state with that bed head and drool on his chin. Grumbling he wipes the dried drool away and walks out of his room rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, now here he stands in the very long and maze like corridor filled with twists and turns. He squints as he thinks to himself " 'ow did this house even come into existence? What the fu-" he quickly shakes his head and walks down the corridor walking past the various doors filled with random things, but he doesn't want to deal with any mishaps right now.
Ah finally he finds the kitchen, took him a good 10 minutes but he got there; Ringo walks over to the counter and picks up the kettle before walking over to the sink and filling it with water. Once he places it on the hob he turns the knob and begins making himself a nice cuppa coffee to wake himself up. Ringo rubs his eyes again before stretching and letting out a huge yawn still not fully with it.
When he completes his nice cup of coffee he leans against the counter sighing after taking a sip, letting the creamy and flavourful coffee fill his mouth before swallowing it. A warm feeling overcomes him as he shuts his eyes taking small sips of his coffee, but then suddenly his body jolts forwards and he lets out a gasp feeling his eyes shoot open... where's his coffee? Where's the kitchen? His eyes dart around and now he's outside, in his red and blue suit and purple and orange tie...what?
He looks around disoriented before quickly stuffing his hands in his pockets and inhaling deeply the cool, crisp air of Liverpool. Ringo begins to walk, perhaps a stroll will help.
He keeps walking until he reaches the mersey, walking onto the bridge and leaning against the barrier looking down at the river. The more he looks he feels his chest tighten and pupils blow out. It...he...no he couldn't...he couldn't no... "I'd jump into the river mersey..." He mumbles to himself before quickly gasping and pushing himself away from the barrier realising what he's doing so he just clears his throat and quickly starts walking off the bridge away from the river "B-But it looks like rain." He stammers under his breath to talk himself out of it...
So, he continues to walk and walk and walk. One step, two step, three step, four. Five step, six step and then one more. Each step a way to keep his mind from wandering, but then he feels it. That feeling of eyes drilling into the back of his head, swallowing hard he turns his head to look around. Nothing. He inhales deeply before exhaling "You're just being paranoid, Richard." He thinks to himself before continuing to walk but that feeling never leaves but then he hears it an almost mechanical sound almost like a submarine. He sees something yellow out of the corner of his eye so he quickly whips his entire body around in a defensive stance hoping to catch whatever THING is spying on him. Nothing but a puddle. His eyebrows furrow as he stands up straight, feeling his heart pound in his chest.
Now THIS is getting strange, it's either he's being extremely paranoid or there's actually someone stalking him down. Swallowing hard he turns back around and starts sprinting down the street mumbling mindless comforts to himself which really don't help at all. His eyes dart over to the river beside him. Hm, something fishie is going on (pun not intended) but he tries to keep his eyes and mind straight ahead, don't focus on the water. Don't focus on the-
"Over here my love" A voice, Ringo swallows hard, his nerves spike to an all time high as he hesitates and turns his head to look behind him. A large pile of mist has suddenly appeared out of nowhere making his surroundings look like pea soup, but then there's a hand. A hand drawing him forwards, he hesitantly takes a step forwards and suddenly his surroundings are gone. Just him and the mist, he doesn't know where he's going but he can't stop. He suddenly sees a face, a..a woman? God he can't do this today, but she has an almost magnetic grasp on him, he can't pull away. It's hypnotic.
He staggers forwards latching onto something, he doesn't know what, he doesn't care anymore. All his worries, all the weight on his shoulders have been lifted. He's calm, he's relaxed. He's okay... The woman seems to float her hair swaying and curling around him in such a heavenly way, god she's a beauty. An angel, that's what Ringo thinks as he leans forwards and shuts his eyes while she places a hand on his cheek and wraps a hand around his tie, tugging him forwards which he lets her do. He feels so calm he could almost fall asleep as the mist surrounds him and this mysterious woman. He leans into her hand, it has to be the smoothest of skin he's ever felt, a touch so gentle he can't help but almost shed a tear. The light breeze rubs and caresses his face and for a moment time stops. And he takes a carefree breath of fresh air. "Is this what heaven feels like?" He thinks to himself and just before he let's go of whatever he was gripping onto he hears someone scream his name.
"HEY RINGO!" Ringo's eyes shoot open like he just got jolted awake, he shakes his head snapping himself out of the hypnotic haze he was in before looking around as the fog clears up. "Wh-" his stomach suddenly drops as he lets out a yelp gripping onto the barrier for dear life HOW DID HE GET HERE?! WHAT?! He was so fucking close to falling into the river, what in god's name-...his eyes shoot up watching that mysterious lady let out a demonic shriek, her body morphing and shifting into something more evil and twisted whilst she gets dragged into the deep grey of the river as well as the fog.
Ringo has never felt his heart pound so hard in his life, he almost feels like he's about to have a heart attack as he tries to make sense of what's happening. Swallowing hard he looks straight ahead to the other side of the river..."Paul?" ...He squints trying to make out the figure but then it quickly walks away "H-HEY! HEY WAIT!" He yells as he struggles to get over the barrier. Grunting as he finally manages to get onto the safety of the pavement he starts sprinting down the street to find the figure who he SWEARS is Paul.
