Chapter 1: Ignorance (prologue)

Chapter Text

Brendon Urie was not a brave man.

Dallon knew that. Why else would he be so skeptical when an invitation to a “dangerous mission” arrived at his doorstep? However, he ultimately set doubt aside, donning a badge and becoming the group’s Detective.

Brendon Urie was not a brave man.

Ryan Ross understood that better than anyone-there was a reason they hadn’t spoken in months. Yet, he still felt hopeful when that invitation arrived, putting on a 70’s style hot pink button up and becoming the group’s Troublemaker.

Brendon Urie was not a brave man.

While they hadn’t known each other for long, Jon still knew that to some extent. But if Ryan had decided to go, he supposed he would too. Dressing up in a stylish green coat, he became the group’s Record Producer.

Brendon Urie was not a brave man.

Spencer knew that, but for whatever reason, he couldn’t help but trust him. Therefore, with a swift nod, he accepted the invitation, putting on a red, white, and blue outfit and becoming the group’s Daredevil.

Neither of the Way brothers knew Brendon as well as some of the others who had been invited. And so they blindly accepted, the prospect of an adventure exciting them. Mikey threw on a pair of aviators, Gerard a yellow beret, and they became the group’s Investigative Reporter and Jetsetter, respectively.

Pete didn’t really take Brendon’s cowardice into account, taking the invitation as another reason to hang out with friends. That’s why he gladly changed into the most 70’s outfit he could find in his closet, and became the group’s Super Spy.

Patrick had always valued both Brendon and Pete as creatives, and so he decided to join them both, putting on a yellow, orange, and gold flowery ensemble and becoming the group’s Hippie.

Ryan Seaman only knew Brendon through stories, but he thought he seemed nice enough. And so, he put on a fluffy purple coat and became the group’s Disco Dancer.

With everyone’s roles and fates decided, the friends that Brendon so kindly invited gathered at the coordinates provided, ready to save the town of Everlock.
