Summary
"Heroism", perhaps rarely seen, is to venture wholly to be oneself, as an individual woman, stripped of societal denotations, titles, reputations. To be this definite individual woman, is to be alone before the faces of the gods, alone in the tremendous exertion and responsibility demanded. Thus, a hero may never be truly perceived except by herself, and only then after the moment has long passed. All else is vanity.
