It had been Scott’s idea for the two of them to spend a date over his apartment having a tea party, and it had been Ren’s idea to dress up for it.
So when Scott opens his door to let his boyfriend in, he was definitely not expecting to open it and find his boyfriend dressed up fully in a renaissance festival king outfit, cape, crown, and all.
Scott feels his jaw go slack in shock at how just handsome Ren looks
The elf’s eyes slowly trail up Ren’s body, taking in the dark trousers, knee high boots, an off white poet shirt, frilling at the front, framed by a blood red cape, fur lining the top, his long brown hair pulled back into a half up, half down look with his fluffy bands poking out from under a gold crown with many different colours of jews set into it, his brown dog hybrid ears on either side of the crown that rest atop his head, gently between them, blue eyes hiding behind a pair of sunglasses.
“Wow, you really like raspberry lemon scones.” Ren jokes, the air being lulled with the sound of his laugh.
Scott feels the tips of his ears warm, a rare thing to find him so easily flustered, “Uh…come in.”
“If you say so.” Ren says, grinning.
The dog hybrid walks inside Scott’s apartment, going to the kitchen to grab a plate to put the scones on for them.
Scott shuts the door, moving into the living room where he had already set up a small table and the tea set his mother bought him when he was a kid.
Ren comes out, setting the plate of his scones on the table before taking Scott’s chair, pulling it out for him.
The elf hybrid smiles at the gesture, pulling up the hem of the white and blue dress someone might wear to a renaissance festival, dressing up as a faerie (he already naturally had the ears and body for it anyway), and sitting down in the chair.
Ren goes to his own seat across from Scott, sitting down and picking up his tea cup, holding it out.
Scott takes his tea pot, pouring the tea into the cup for his boyfriend, smiling softly.
Ren takes his cup, putting some honey into it before stirring it around and taking a slow sip from it as Scott pours his own cup.
The two of them eat the scones Ren brought and the charcuterie board of snacks Scott made, as they do so, talking with each other, catching up since the last time they saw each other, and over all enjoying each other’s precance.
After they are done, Ren helps his boyfriend clean up, taking the tea set to the kitchen where Scott watches it as Ren packs up the table and chairs, moving it back to the dining room as Scott tries not to sneak peeks at his strong boyfriend.
When he’s done, Ren moves back to the kitchen, leaning against the counter and watching Soctt as the dog hybrid helps the elf dry the dishes.
When they are down, Ren bows, getting down on his knees, “You hand my Star.” he says, smiling wide, looking up at Scott with his big blue eyes, sunglasses left on the dining room table with his cape.
Scott gives him his hand and Ren presses a light kiss to his knuckles, “You have hosted a grand little party Scott.” Ren says, smiling up at Scott, gently turning Scott’s hand over before pressing a kiss to his palm, his soft life sending a tickling-like sensation up Scott’s arm from his palm.
The dog hybrid trails his lips up Scott’s hand, tail swishing behind him as he presses a delicate kiss to the inside of Scott’s palm, whispering into the skin there, “I love you, my Star.”
Scott cups Ren’s cheek, getting down on his own knees, careful of the dress on his body.
Once the two of them are face to face, on the same level, Scott brings Ren’s face to his own, “I love you too, my Prince.” he says with words sweet as honey, before he pulls Ren in for a kiss, eyes fluttering closed.
