Summary
When 17-year-old James’ life begins to fall apart after his father dies and The Dead Poets Society falls apart, he begins to pray that someone saves him from his self-imposed hell.
Unfortunately, it seems that it’s been decided that 18-year-old infuriatingly smug (and objectively handsome, it’s not gay to point that out) Gregory House is the man for the job.
As the two’s oddly complicated relationship blossoms over their love for pranks, scraping gum off of desks, and The Rolling Stones, James has to wonder if Todd was actually just projecting when he said there was something different about him, or if it was true.
“Admirer as I think I am
Of stars that do not give a damn,
I cannot, now I see them, say
I missed one terribly all day.
Were all stars to disappear or die,
I should learn to look at an empty sky
And feel its total dark sublime,
Though this might take me a little time.”— W.H Auden.
