Work Text:
Ron knew the signs of an Autistic shutdown in Hermione, and he also knew it was typically triggered by stress.
So, it was no surprise to him that, the night following the war, he found her curled up in bed with her earmuffs on, apparently unable to communicate.
He would be lying if he said he entirely understood her condition, but he supposed it didn't matter. The important thing was that he was there for her.
He didn't initiate any physical contact, only wrapping his arms around her when she silently leaned into him.
He knew he couldn't take away the uncomfortable sensation from her, but he also knew she didn't expect him to.
His presence was more than enough.
