   He remembered… he remembered falling. Inky darkness surrounded him. A gentle caress from feminine fingers, whispering in his ear that he was safe now. A tug on his core. He remembered a hand, tattooed and scarred like his own, reaching out and grabbing his wrist gently. It pulled him along, out of the cold comfort of the nothingness. He hadn't realized it had been cold.
