    When he pulled up to the shop JK Tattoos he was a mess of nerves and considered just leaving. But he saw the clean, quiet shop and again felt safe here. He told the Jess what he wanted to do and he realized just how strange this was going to sound. She teased him a little.

    “Really this is what Shane Hollander hockey legend wants? I was imagining something hockey related, big bold and daring.”

    Then he told her why he was getting the tattoo (well he told her parts of the story). He told her that it was meant to be a surprise gift for his partner. That he was a very private person and he didn't want to be super public with his relationship. But he wanted his partner to know just how much he loved them.
