Jonouchi found himself watching the news with Mokuba while they waited for Kaiba to return with Heero and Duo. While Kaiba was technically a retainer for the Preventers, he wasn't called in unless it was either really bad or they needed his hacking skills as Heero was busy with another role. Thankfully this mission was the latter. At least Jonouchi didn't mind being the “stay at home dad” during these missions and keep an eye on Mokuba (Jonouchi almost killed Mokuba for that joke).
Just as the news switched to a new story, the front door opened and the three agents walked in. Heero actually was dragging an exhausted Duo in before basically tossing him onto the couch next to Jonouchi. Based off Heero's foul mood as he stomped off, the blond might have to consider using Mokuba as a shield against Kaiba.
“In other news, Relena Peacecraft was seen at the opening of a new orphanage,” the reporter on the TV announced. “Despite being several years after the war, there are many children who lost their families that are in need of a new one.”
“Good to see she actually followed through with that suggestion,” Kaiba growled. “Worth the headache I got from that conversation. She's smart enough for politics but still can't wrap her head around the fact Heero and I are not the same.”
“I haven't really talked much with her except for a handful of times,” Jonouchi said feeling a bit brave. “How bad could she be?”
“Remember how you described that Rebecca girl when you first met her?” Kaiba asked with a cold look towards Jonouchi. With a small nod as an answer, Kaiba continued. “While not as childish, she is just as annoying as you made her sound. The few times I've seen Relena behave, she's more like Rebecca during my Grand Prix.”
“Still get the chills remembering her talk to that teddy bear like that,” Jonouchi muttered, actually shivering at the thought. “I know she was a kid, but it gave horror movie vibes!”
“Huh, kinda weird Heero gave Relena a teddy bear as a goodbye gift,” Duo finally spoke up.
“Seto was the one to suggest it,” Heero sighed as he finally took his seat next to Duo. “I still wanted to kill her, but Seto said she would be needed for the rebuilding.”
“Huh, did not know that,” Duo said. “And the note she ripped up? You never explained why she did that with a smile.”
“The note was me,” Heero continued, noticing Kaiba froze at Duo's words. “As for why, it was most likely because Seto ripped the invitation to her birthday she gave us soon after we came to Earth for the mission. I think she was trying to be cute and imitate it. I cannot figure out why since I swore to kill her right after Seto did that soon after I took over.”
Jonouchi narrowed his eyes as he slowly turned his head to look at Kaiba who was frozen in his spot. While Jonouchi was far from a genius, it didn't take one to know they were both thinking the same thing. It seemed like the brunet was determined to repeat history as often as he could.
“Please tell me there is security footage of Seto doing this,” Jonouchi said, not taking his eyes off Kaiba.
“You do realize there are many ways to rip paper,” Kaiba said, turning slightly to give a glare back.
“You ripped it in the same way you did with the fourth Blue-Eyes, didn't you!?” Jonouchi yelled, jumping up and startling everyone else. “Gramps almost died because of you and you ripped his prized card in spite for whatever reason!”
“Hey, I know I told you why! Not to mention you love to point out I was 'crazy' at that point, whatever that means!” Kaiba yelled back. Before Kaiba could say more, Jonouchi's phone notification went off. The blond gave Kaiba a glare before reading the new email.
Seto tried to destroy it, but you know how sneaky I am. I'm bored and wanted to cause some chaos. Thankfully Mokuba helped set up everything so I can keep track of everything in the house in case.

Jonouchi narrowed his eyes as Noa loved causing trouble. With the opening of the video, it didn't take long for everyone to find out the answer.
“Ripping the invite the same way wasn't enough, you had to try and look all cool doing it!?”
