The Zam and The Jewelry Chest

Summary:

Zam took some stuff, so he gets the doorframe punishment.

Notes:

Soo, this is based off some of my hcs.
But if you want me to be specific, it's based off mostly of these two:

1 Color blobs can change their bodies as long there isn't anything touching them.
2 Zam has the "I can't get past doorframe unless I turn sideways" horns.

English is not my first language

Work Text:

It was a quite normal day, nothing was happening.

And Wemmbu didn't like that.

He wanted to do something new, something he hadn't done before- or well, something he hadn't done in a while; Using jewelry from his chest.

‘MAN! What a GREAT idea! ’ That's the only sentence Wemmbu could say after thinking of finally using his Jewelry after- After what?

Maybe 2, maybe 6, maybe even 8 years of not using jewelry? Yes.

After a short trip, Wemmbu arrived to his base. He started going around his stuff and chests, trying to find the one that he had his jewelry in.

And then, he catched a glimpse of a mangrove sign with big purple letters that said :

 "COOL LOOKIN JEWLERWRY.

DO NOT TOUCH OR LOOK AT IF NOT WEMMBU. "

How did he miss such a sign? And out of all the woods he could've choosen to use for the sign, his past self used mangrove?

Times change huh.

He opened the chest, his eyes getting flashed with silver jewelry; rings, necklaces, earwear, crowns.. Etc.

Then, a thought- or well, an old dumb, useless, and random memory got to his mind. He remembered that Zam had complimented his golden jewelry a little... Too much.

But he didn't find the golden stuff.. He could've had sworn he had tons of golden stuff. Specially horn wear /?

Meh! He'd ask Zam if they had seen it ; since they liked it so much, they probably kept track of it, right? But anyways.

He started shuffling through his stuff, trying to find his golden Jewelry.

Though, the thought of Zam and the compliments lingered in his mind for a second too long.

But he just brushed it off, "it's probably just a coincidence! " He thought to himself. So he just kept going.

After hours of searching through all his chests, he was tired, wanting to rest; but he didn't.

"Just ONE MORE CHECK. " Wemmbu said for the fourth time now. "This is the last one. I SWEAR. " He hollow promised.

If he didn't find it this time, he would just try it again, wouldn't he?

He crawled to the very first chest that started it all: The Jewelry chest.

He startes shuffling through it, taking stuff out. He grabbed a head piece, looking at it like if it was one of the wardens that killed Rejoice; he examined it, like if all the lost jewelry was in it.

But it wasn't.

He sighed, throwing the head-piece inside the chest, just to grab a silver crown this time.

Then, mid crown examination, the realization hit him hard. As hard as it coulve had hit someone.

"WAIT, THERE IS NO- there probably is a way actually.. " Wemmbu thought as the realization kept hitting him harder and harder. He was so dumb for not realizing sooner, all the evidence was RIGHT THERE.

Zam loves gold. And when I say they love gold, I mean they LOVE gold. So, there is a mildly big chance Zam took the golden stuff.. Or well- it was a 100% Zam. No doubt. Nothing at all.. Probably.

Wemmbu growled lowly, throwing the silver crown back into the chest. Standing up to face the cherry wood door separating his side of the base from Zam's.

Meanwhile, with Zam, on the other side of the door, he was playing around with Wemmbu's golden stuff.

They grabbed another chain from the table, slowly introducing it into their left horn, twirling after successfully adding it to their count of semi-stolen golden jewelry in their horns.

He had chains and rings, some were too small to fit in their horns so he just left them on the table to find a use for them later.

Some were used as ankle chains, while others served as bracelets.

"MAN! This stuff is AWESOME! I wonder why he doesn't use them daily. They look wonderful!! He should give them to me instead, he isn't even gonna use them.. " Zam thought while twirling a chain on their right horn.

"At least they look pretty on me. I give them such a great use, these horns are seeing the better days, like, right now. "

Zam shook their head, creating a mildly loud clattering noise.

Then, out of nowhere, Zam's door was slammed open. Making them jolt upwards.

They snapped their head towards the door, the jewelry on their horns clattering. "DUDE. WEMMBU. DID YOU NEVER LEARN HOW TO KNOC- Gasp. "

Zam turn back to face their vanity. Realizing what had happened.

Wemmbu was literally DIRECTLY STARING at Zam's horns and all the stolen jewelry hanging on them.

"Zam... " He said ominously.

Zam gulped, whispering ‘I'm cooked. Aren't I? ’ to themselves. "Zam. Take them all MY golden chains AND rings OFF. Right NOW. "

Zam nodded, taking said jewelry off. "Wemmbu- you.. You don't even.... Use them.. " They said slowly.

"WELL. I WAS ABOUT TO USE THEM, BUT SOMEONE TOOK THEM ALL. " Wemmbu speed walked towards said someone. "YOU DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME ANYTHING??"

Zam put down the rings they had taken out of their horns, "How was I supposed to know that you were gonna use them today.. "

"BY ASKING PRINCE-ZZZAAMMMM!!! " Wemmbu dragged Zam's name while snatching the rings off the table, "BRO. TODAY WAS SOOO BORING, FLAME DIDN'T WANT TO FIGHT, SPOKE WASN'T SPOKEING, PARROT IS ON GRIEVING DAY, AND- " Wemmbu paused, thinking of words to make Zam feel guilty.

"AND I WANTED TO DO SOMETHING NEW TO MAKE THIS LESS BORING, AND THE SECOND I TRY TO FIND SOMETHING THAT I LOVE WITH ALL MY HEART AND THAT I'VE NEVER USE- I ONLY FIND OUT SOMEONE TOOK THEM! "

Wemmbu didn't love the jewelry with all his heart, but Zam believed it. "Sorryy... " They left the last rings and chains on the table, they got snatched and shoved into Wemmbu's inventory the second they left Zam's hand.

"Zam- you know what?? " He grabbed Zam's horns. " GET ON THE DOORFRAME. "

Zam opened and closed their mouth, not knowing what to say. "B-But- Wemmbu, I- I don't fit on the doorframe! "

"THEN MAKE YOUR HORNS SMALLER. " Zam nodded, "THEN. AFTER YOU GET IN THERE, MAKE YOUR HORNS BIGGER. THIS IS THE PUNISHMENT YOU DESERVE FOR BEING A THIEF!! " Wemmbu yelled at Zam as they walked to the doorframe.

"But Wemmbu-" Wemmbu pointed at the doorframe. "SHUSH. GO GET STUCK. "

"Ookayy.... " Zam faced the cherry wood doorframe, De-sizing their horns to fit.

Wemmbu hit Zam's vanity, making Zam jolt up again, "HURRY. OR SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR 'precious' VANITY MIRROR. "

When Zam heard that, they hurried to enlarge their horns back to their "normal" size. "Good, good. " Wemmbu nodded while

Speaking.

"So. " Wemmbu started, moving his hand around, "You gonna stay there. You are gonna stay there until someone comes to save you. Which is not me. "

Zam looked at Wemmbu, mortified. "WEMMBU, WHAT?? NO!!! " Zam squirmed around, already regreting their choices on jewelry.

"This is what you get for taking MMMYYYYY stuff, from MMMYYYYYYY chests, from MMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYY side of this base. " He said while pounting at himself.

"Wemmbu, come onnnnn, it's not that deep!! You had never used them before! " Wemmbu rolled his eyes at that, clicking his tongue. "So you thought it would be a great idea to be the one who used MY jewelry for THE FIRST TIME. BRO, I AM supposed to be the one using them for the first time. You know why??"

Crickets.

"BECAUSE IIII AM THE OWNER, ZAM. "

Wemmbu walked up to where Zam was stuck at. "So, you gonna stay here 'til someone rescues you. Buh bye. "

Wemmbu crouched down to walk below Zam's horns. Zam tried hard to at least follow him with their eyes, but they werent able to. Wemmbu was already long gone.

"No wait- WEMMBU, PLEASE, COME BACK. WAIITTTTT!!! " Zam screamed while waving /? their arms. "NOOOoooo.... "

Zam looked down to the floor, bringing their legs up. "Duuudeee.. " They sniffed. "Who could possibly come get me out of here.. HOW would they even do that?! "

Zam started moving around, trying to see if they could make their horns move a little.

Their horns didn't even budge.

"BRO. SOMEONE PLEASE- GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!! "

Meanwhile, on the surface, Zam's screams for help were barely audible.

But for someone with great hearing, the cries for help weren't in vain.

Just when Zam's vocal cords almost stopped working sand were about to implode- Pangi came to rescue Zam!! Yayy!!!! Hooray!!!!!

"Hello? Zam? " Zam jolted up (AGAIN) when they heard the familiar voice.

"Oh my goodness, Pangi!! I'm so happy to see- Or well.. I can't really see you right now.. I am so happy to hear you!!!!! "

Pangi gasped when he heard Zam, "Zam!! Hey- OH MY GOSH. WHAT HAPPENED?? WH- WHY ARE YOU IN THE DOORFRAME???"

"Long story.. Just help me grow out of here, pretty please. " Pangi shrugged, "How though? "

Zam hummed, they had been thinking for an answer for that question, "I dunno. Improvise! "

"Ok then.. "

"OWWWWW!!!!! MY HEEAADDD!!!!!!!!! " Zam cried out while their head hit the floor, hard.

"Hey! At least you out!! " Pangi said happily while clapping.

Zam standed up. "Yeahh, but I don't- .. I don't think I'm in one piece now. " They said while getting dust off their cape. "Pangi, you do NOT know how long I have been stuck on there. "

Pangi sighed, "You right, I probably don't know. You should go outside though, you are.. Very pale. "

"Ok, bro. What is everyone doing? " Zam asked, starting to walk up the stairs to go out. "Uhh.. I don't know! But Spoke is talking about some 'If YOUR teammate is controlling the ball, do NOT hit it' or something. "

"Huh. And Wemmbu said that Spoke wasn't Spokeing... What a liar. " They huffed. "OH MY GOODNESS. MY EYESS!! "

Zam screamed as they got flashed by everything, the sun was suning a little too much..

"DUDE. WHAT IS- OH MY GOODNESS, AHHHHH!!! " Zam turned around, just to get their eyes burnt to a crisp because of the sun reflecting against Wemmbu's jewelry.

Wemmbu noticed Zam, speaking up, "Oh hey. You got out. Fire. You got out way faster than what I expected! Good job I guess. "

"WAY FASTER?? I WAS THERE FOR 4 HOURS. "

Wemmbu shrugged. "I expected that to be 24. "

This was rushed at the end
