Touya stared at him for a beat. The guy stared back, earnest as hell.Touya’s lip twitched before he could stop it, “Coffee.”
“Oh, perfect,” The guy nodded as if Touya had just solved a mystery, “Yes. One coffee please.”
Touya shifted to the register, “What kind?” The guy's expression went blank again. Touya sighed, “Americano. Latte. Cappuccino. Cold brew. We also have tea. And,” He flicked his eyes to the pastry and cake case, “Food.”
“Right. Right, okay,” The guy rubbed the back of his neck. Rainwater darkened the collar of his jacket, “Latte. I can do latte. A latte sounds… safe.”
“What size?”
The guy’s eyes widened, “There are… different sizes?”
Touya looked at him like he was considering his options; violence, mostly, “Is this your first day on Earth?” He asked bluntly.
