Work Text:
Maybe it was the romance novels, he thought, maybe the surprisingly nice weather.
Because somehow, instead of going to the library to study, Steve had found himself in an old-school coffee shop.
He was sitting next to a window, sipping coffee that was mostly milk, and pointedly not staring at the cute barista with dark brown hair and striking blue eyes.
He didn’t think he’d read more than a few pages in the last thirty odd minutes.
When his eyes drifted to the barista again, their eyes met and the barista smiled at him.
His heart fluttered.
Oh.
Oh no.
