Without waiting to see if his warning was parsed, Seungkwan reeled his arm back, grip on the racquet's handle firm but not tight; a death grip would only be detrimental for his performance. With only a second of hesitation, Seungkwan followed through on a forehand swing—arm moving first, then wrist—chest puffing with the force behind it. There was the quiet sound of wind whipping through the air and then the simultaneous thud of carbon fibre strings against skin and the sharp 'ting' of hitting the sweet spot.
Mingyu cried out, breaths faltering in time with his tightened grip on the desk. Tense back muscles rippled as he braced himself and Seungkwan made sure to poke a few taps against his shoulders as a reminder to loosen up.
"Breathe, Mingyu-ah. It'll feel much better if you relax for me, okay?"
Seungkwan’s experience from badminton is useful for more than just sports.

Distantly, he registered someone was talking to him, their voice low and urgent, but his heart was thumping in his chest and his ears and it blocked out any coherent hearing Sam might’ve had.
The figure took a step forward, and if Sam thought he was going to die from nerves before, he was going to explode with them now and paint the walls with his gory insides.
