    Pomni, or Christine, has not been coping well with life outside the circus, even more than a year later. Memories plague her and threaten to drown her, reminding her of the worst moments of her life. Her friendships both in and out of the circus suffer as she attempts to navigate worlds she is not equipped to handle. Jax, or Felix, becomes her life preserver.
