Okay. No need to get stressed. It's just a date. An repeated that last part in her head like a mantra.
She looked at herself in the mirror for what seemed the hundredth time in the time span of 10 minutes.
Sure, she and her beloved had a LOT of dates already, of course, but...
One where she proposes to Kohane ? That sure is new. And kinda nerve wrecking. But she got this !
"An-chan ? Are you ready yet ?" Kohane's sweet voice came from behind the door.
"Y-Yeah ! I'm out soon!" God why did my voice crack like that.

The couple walked through Vivid Street, hand in hand, occasionally greeting a few people there and there. The two walked towards a nice, cozy park that was almost never visited; the perfect place for a little picnic date, surrounded by cherry trees !
…Yeah, gotta thank Mizuki for that idea, huh? But An’s pretty sure she could’ve found the idea by herself ! Or not. Doesn’t matter–
“It really is the best period for a date like this… Thank you, An-chan,” Kohane said with a soft smile as they started putting the picnic blanket onto the floor, and the food they took on top of it.
“Anything for you, Hane,” An responded with a grin, taking a seat on the blanket and gesturing for her girlfriend to do the same, which she did, leaning her head against An’s shoulder.
“Mm, still. The cherry blossoms are really pretty over here,” The girl noticed, while An picked up the sandwiches and handed her one.
“They are, yeah,” An agreed, “Not as much as you, though.”
“How cheesy of you.”
“You love me for it.”
Kohane rolled her eyes and lightly pushed An away, earning a chuckle from the taller girl. An leaned back on her hands, quietly watching as Kohane admired the scenery around them.
An couldn’t blame her; it WAS quite pretty here. The cherry blossoms, the little lake, the flowers… She hardly kept her eyes off the view too the first time she came here. Though, her eyes were very much on the gorgeous girl infront of her instead.
Her partner. Her other half. Her soon-to-be fiancée and maybe soon-to-be-wife. If she found the guts to propose.
She knows Kohane isn’t one to ask for grand gesture, any moment would be good to propose. Whether it be now… or now… or in 5 minutes.
Anything would do, she knows that. But she feels like Kohane deserved at least a nice place and a nice moment.
But knowing herself, she’d probably end up being clumsy about it.
Kohane would find it endearing.
“An-chan ?” Her beloved gently called out, her soft hand resting on top of hers.
“Uh ? Ah, yeah ?”
“You’ve been staring. Not that I mind, but is there something wrong ?”
“No! No no, not at all. There’s just…a thing.” An carefully said.
“A thing ?”
“A thing.”
Kohane tilted her head, then smiled with a light giggle that the black haired girl found adorable.
“And… What that thing might be, exactly ?”
“W-Well…” An stuttered, her fingers tightening around Kohane’s, which the girl took notice of but chose not to comment on it for now. “... It's, errr, a bit serious.”
The blonde quickly took notice of the tremble in An’s voice, and gently cupped her cheek with her free hand, “You know you can tell me anything.”
“Well…it’s more of a question.”
“You can ask me anything too.”
An hummed. God. She can do this.
“I’d need you to close your eyes.” She breathed out nervously.
Kohane obliged with no questions asked, just pure trust in her partner.
An gulped, slowly taking out the box with the ring she had picked out - with the help of Haruka, bless her soul, Miku - a few weeks ago. She exhaled softly before speaking, “Alright- I’m ready.”
Kohane opened her eyes, which opened wider when An opened the box
“Asuzawa Kohane. There’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while. We've been partners since we’re 16, yet we never left each other's sides after that. You mean so much to me as a singing partner and as a romantic partner. I can’t imagine living everything we did together with anyone else. And I know we’re maybe too young for this but—”
“Will you marry me ?”
They asked in unison.
An blinked a few times at the words that came out of Kohane's mouth, looking up at her girlfriend. “..hah..?”
“Ehe…I've been planning to propose today too…” The woman admitted, taking An's free hand in hers. “But at least I know your response to the question…”
“...God,” An breathed out under her breath, wrapping her arms tightly around Kohane and pulling her into a hug. “You're perfect,” she managed to say, burying her face in her girlfriend - fiancée's - shoulder.
Kohane held her tightly, looking down at her partner. “Are you crying..?”
“Those are happy tears..!”
“Did you really think I'd decline?”
“W-well no but..I was scared, still.”
“Awe.”
“Don't mock me!”
“Okay, okay…Ehe~”
