Chapter Text
As another star burned in the sky, the coldness of Gardenview really proved it's point as even with a heater on, it was hard to sleep without a shake or shiver.
Gardenview, what a bright, educational place it was meant to be. Innocence everywhere, kids running around, as Toons ushered them to the educational parts of the Museum- this was a Toon's life- maybe paradise. It was also Boxten's escape from this reality at night. He sometimes had good dreams, then bad ones. What's happening to him? He didn't know. He never knew. Though, it wasn't that bad.. Until now.
Gardenview, abandoned by Delilah Keen and Arthur Walton, toon handlers gone, Toon's probably have never been the same.
As the moon shines bright, the dream realm powered by Astro's solar magic. Fluffy feathery clouds like blankets tucked up the sky, as the peaceful purple and blue night shined- the sun to Astro's eyes. Or eye.
Astro sat on the crescent moon, humming as h looks around at everyone's dreams, letting his four arms conduct his magic. Razzle and Dazzle, dreaming about being in Vee's gameshow. Backstage or even competing, it was their dream to them. Sprout and Cosmo, somehow dreaming about each other baking again for the kids, the times when they taught others in their section. At the same time. Astro huffed, smiling a little. Astro looked to Dandy's dream.
About Gardenview being open again, his comfort place that lost his happiness. Astro sighed.
"When will you... Ever talk to me Dandy?"
But something- SOMETHING was going on. Astro's star eye twitched, flickering as darkness shrouded him.
"What?"
He quickly flew to the the source, the black orb showing a dream. Boxten's dream...
. Including everytoon. Getting their hands cut off. Dying in brutal ways. Especially him. He had literally just saw himself get stabbed to death.
This was a gorey nightmare. Then.. Why couldn't he do something about it? His magic wasn't working. How, how is this possible? How? The nightmare cannot be this strong.
"Nononononononono... Why isn't this working?! No no no...."
Astro panicked. He had to.. Do something... He had to..
He couldn't let poor Boxten suffer that nightmare. It was too late. The orb disappeared. He must of woken up.
Astro sighed in guilty defeat.
.....
"Good Morning, Boxten......"
