Summary
Potter looks at him now, really looks, head tilted to the side, a question on his lips. “In the locker room,” he starts, “I offered you something… Why didn’t you take me up on it?”
Regulus clenches his jaw. “This isn’t fair.” He shakes his head, biting at his lower lip. “You know this isn’t fair.”
Potter takes a step closer, leaning down by Regulus’ ear. “Maybe I don’t want to play fair,” he whispers.
Regulus' heart and stomach tumble into a somersault. “What does that even mean?” His low voice mirrors Potter’s.
Potter leans back a little, wetting his lips with his tongue. “It means you have a problem, and I can help. I want to help. Would you let me help?”

After a potions lesson goes horribly wrong, Regulus ends up burning his hands, meaning he’s unable to relieve himself of his ‘tension’ to clear out his overstimulated brain. Who will offer to help? His ex-older brother’s best friend, someone whom Regulus has had a crush on for years who’s as straight as they come, or so it seems.

Marauders stories without Voldemort are it for me. I loved how this fic developed their relationship together, Sirius and regulus relationship, their friends relationships in the back, and had time to process all of that. I also love when way everything worked out. I would like to see the Slytherins finding out about them, the whole school besides the marauders actually, and I'd like an epilogue of them being out in the open
