Chapter Text
From the entrance of the main building, you could already hear the bustling hallways with tons of student activity, students who were way too loud, preparing for today and obviously not looking out for others in the pathway.
Now this isn’t anything new for State University, but today was one of the biggest events. Students who’d been elected had been preparing for this for weeks! They made campaigns and much more in the past week. Apparently, there was even one candidate who had a whole conspiracy going on…
Fluixon was definitely not one of them.
The spacious room was far too quiet for the time of day. The only sounds that were made in the room were a fountain pen scribbling loudly and every once in a while being dipped in an ink pot – the type of sound that screams expensive and well-made.
At the end of the room, there he was sitting in a chair facing the door. He was looking at the paper with a frustrated look, scribbling words out as if his whole life depended on it. Harsh scratches were being made, almost tearing the paper apart as if it were the reason for all his problems.
Maybe pulling the third all-nighter this week wasn't really that smart of him. Fluixon couldn't sleep; he had plans to make – the ones that succeeded with no doubt, and if there was even one little detail that he could think of that could fail, he already had a backup one.
A loud creaking noise was made behind him, followed by far too loud, familiar voices that would only make his headache worse.
“See? I was right, I told you Flux would be here,” said the person who opened the old, creaking door, leading two other people into the room.
Fluixon groaned harshly, accidentally spilling ink droplets from his freshly dipped pen onto the already messed-up paper. He turned slowly to give them the most dangerous glance ever, but it looked more like a cry of help with how sleep-deprived he looked.
The people who entered way too energetically were no other than: Thomas, Snowbird and Rotation. A few of the well-known friends of his friend group, called ‘The Conspiracy’ Should I even call them friends right now? – Fluixon still slightly cringes at the name they chose for it a few years back.
“We were wondering where you were. You vanished this morning,” Thomas added before taking a seat on a dusty couch that stood sideways from the neat desk.
Snowbird and Rotation followed after, both taking a seat next to Thomas. “Should've guessed you would be in this storage room,” Snowbird muttered slightly.
The room was indeed an old dusty storage room that wasn't used by the university – one that was turned secretly into a big hangout room over time. Or also known as Fluixon's second bedroom, with how many nights he stayed here.
“You know, Flux... a lot of people were wondering where you were, it's almost time after all.” Said Rotation carefully as if he still needed to add something.
“Even your boyfri-”
Something flew directly at them, barely missing Rotation.
There was a moment’s pause before Snowbird started cackling almost immediately. Soon after, the room was filled with the laughter of the trio, drowning out the scribbling of the pages, plain mockery pointed directly at him. Fluixon shot a glare at everyone, making everybody immediately stop.
“Mind repeating that again, Rotation? I didn't hear you well.” Fluixon's voice came out venomously, as he finally looked into the eyes of his so-called ‘friends.’ They were more like people who would often come to tease him than friends.
“Well… uhh, on the way, we came across Saps. He was wondering where you were, since you weren't in the room with the other candidates after all,” explained Thomas. Fluixon raised an eyebrow, curious.
Snowbird interrupted, cackling a bit. “You should've seen the look on your face, Flux!’ he exclaimed loudly with full confidence, not even worrying that Fluixon was secretly planning his worst nightmare.
“What do we know about the others? Do we already know something about the results of the voting?” Fluixon asked with a stern voice, completely ignoring Snowbird's comment. He hoped that at least the Conspiracy would have something under control for once.
The trio looked at each other nervously. It wasn't as if they were scared of Fluixon… It's more a case of worrying. “The others are already seated in the front row, the places you specifically reserved. And sadly, the results were watertight,” informed Thomas.
A hum could be heard from Fluixon, followed by a small sigh. He took a small glance at the clock hanging above the door, 10 past 1 in the afternoon, perfect timing.
Fluixon stood up from the neatly arranged desk. "It's time, I’ll go make myself ready for the announcement,” he exclaimed proudly, already standing in the doorway.

It was almost two in the afternoon, and the school’s auditorium was filled to the brim with excited students who were discussing with each other about who might win or even supporters who were waiting with bright, bold banners of their favourite candidate. They all wanted to know who would be their newly appointed student council.
The so-called conspiracy was sitting in front-row seats, just like other friend groups who helped with their candidate. They were waiting nervously while chatting, but they all had no doubt that Fluixon was going to win.
Behind the red curtains on stage were the well-known candidates, nervously preparing for the big reveal to be announced in only a few minutes.
Fluixon was pacing around the room, worrying over his speech. Well, he’s already thought of about 5 speeches and a few backup plans if something were to happen with the audience, but you never know what could happen, right?
“Hey, Flux! I couldn't find you for the whole day,” a familiar voice spoke to him, who grew closer and closer by each second.
Fluixon finally stopped pacing around and looked up in the direction from which the voice came.
There stood Saparata, better known as Saps by most people. He decided to randomly join the election of the student council for fun and to make his older sister proud, and continue the legacy of being a member of the student council from the two years before. He knew Saparata was pretty liked around campus, but he was pretty sure it wouldn’t affect the voting much.
“You stayed up again, didn't you, Flux?” Saps exclaimed with worry.
Fluixon was a bit embarrassed by how easily Saparata noticed it. After being friends with him for a few years now, he somehow managed to memorize almost every single detail about him. “You shouldn't worry, Saps, I made sure everything was perfect for today.”
"Of course you did, Flux! I wouldn't doubt it from the best,” he said sarcastically with a full grin on his face. Saps loved teasing Flux – he swore it was his favourite pastime or something. “I wish you the best, my dear friend.”
"Seriously?! Not here too!!” a person shouted at them teasingly – Cass, also one of the candidates who stood near and watched the exchange with amusement.
Saparata took a glance at Cass and walked away again to where he came from, starting to rehearse his speech one last time, just to be sure... The time was almost due for the announcement; it should begin any minute now…
A loud voice spoke up, grabbing the attention of everyone in the room. “Hello, everyone! I hope everyone is doing alright on this fine afternoon!” exclaimed the person standing on the grand podium.
This mysterious person was none other than the headmaster of the University – Ish. He stood there along with a few of the teachers, in his famous sleek black suit with a red rose embroidered on his left breast pocket.
“As we all know, today is our yearly election of the student council president and vice president. Everyone who was a candidate did amazingly well this past week to impress you all.” Said Ish proudly, “I’m truly impressed by the effort of all our students! Give them all a round of applause while they come on stage!”
About fifteen people came from behind the curtain; they were all nicely dressed and stood their proudest. It's impossible to think that just a few moments ago, some of them looked an absolute mess, stressing over the event.
“Now, it's time, the moment you all have been waiting for,” Ish exclaimed while taking a smooth, folded paper from out his pocket. The crowd cheered, making Fluixon start to get nervous. “The votes between first and second place were very close. A bit too close if I say so myself,” he laughed a bit politely.
A long, uncomfortable silence overcame the auditorium. Many people were dying to know the results.
“The one who will be your president for this school year will be…”
Another long pause was exchanged this time with even more nervous stares than ever. Who would it be? Someone the audience didn't really like, or someone who is a fan favourite?
“The one and only, Saparata!” Ish shouted with full confidence.
Fluixon blinked. Saparata? Did he hear that right?
“and his vice president will be…”
“Fluixon! You both may come over to where I'm standing.”
Whistles and cheering overcame the whole room, followed by well-earned applause. Who thought that the two best friends would be partners?
Saparata immediately let out a long sigh he had been holding. Who knew he would get elected to be president? Would his siblings be proud from the sidelines?
Next to him stood Fluixon. Fluixon was surprisingly shocked. How could this happen? He planned everything, made sure everything was going perfectly, and he even made sure the conspiracy kept a lookout for the other candidates! What could have possibly knocked him off his “Favourite-To-Win” spot? He glanced at the conspiracy for a moment, who were celebrating his so-called achievement.
He was disappointed, to say the least. Fluixon couldn’t show it, but he couldn’t believe that Saps of all people would win… Well, sure, he was popular around campus for resolving problems, but Fluixon needed this position desperately. He bristled silently, keeping a composed face. In reality, he was absolutely fuming.
When they both heard Ish request them, Fluixon and Saparata shyly walked over to where he was, standing on opposite sides. Fluixon was still in disbelief, he hadn't predicted that Saps would win the election! “Flux, can u believe it? We both got elected!” Saps exclaimed happily for them both.
Flux hummed softly at Saparata's excitement, looking at him and back to the audience. He didn't understand how this happened, but at the same time, he also felt happy for both of them.
“What, disappointed that I got elected, hmmm?” Saparata muttered teasingly for only Flux's ears to hear. “I'm sure we will be great together.”
“What?! Of course not.” Fluixon snapped at Saparata, getting a bit flustered at the accusation. Surely, Fluixon would enjoy their run together?
A cough interrupted the duo that was slowly beginning to bicker in front of the audience. Some of the other candidates were glancing at them as if this were some slow-burning soap opera being aired every day in the evening.
“Saparata and Fluixon, I already heard some comments from the audience that you two are the best of friends. How does it feel?” Ish began to question.
“I think it’s amazing I get to work with Flux! We make a great team, right?” Saparata nudged.
“Yeah, we’ll do great,” he mumbled, a forced smile growing on his face.
After a few questions, they both began their speeches and kept the audience amused – Ish also stated, just to be sure, that the ones who didn't get elected shouldn't be disappointed, as they're after all still in the council, and will get their specific roles soon by Saparata and Fluixon.
When the official announcement was done, there was an after-party hosted by Ish. Mostly intended for those who worked hard this past week to finally calm down and relieve stress.
Obviously, Fluixon was nowhere to be found at the party. He somehow disappeared after the questioning. Now, this isn't the first time it happened, as he definitely has his way with disappearing randomly – but this time, ‘The Conspiracy’ knew nothing and was spamming him in their mutual group chat while trying to find him.
Fluxion was somewhere in a secret place in one of the University's gardens, watching the sunset seated on a bench while the cold breeze passed by. He comes here quite often when he doesn't want to be seen, or after he gets news from his parents.
His phone has now been ringing and getting restlessly spammed for long enough, so he decided to pick it up.
There were some – no, a lot of messages from the conspiracy, a few from Cynnika, a newly made group that is called ‘The councils 🔥’ and most importantly, a few from saps.
