Summary
The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

Grian is a vet. After a chance encounter in the dead of night, during which he accidentally saves a villain from the brink of death, he suddenly finds himself entangled in a world beyond anything he could've ever imagined.

Summary
A large group of IPC soldiers had been tasked in investigating a supposed 'isolated' and hidden world from them. Things go wrong as this world was found out to have been a world where the power of paths were used differently, thus getting the attention of Diamond, of whom had sent out Aventurine, Topaz, Dr Ratio, and another group of IPC grunts to investigate and take control of this strange planet in order to increase the Strategic Investment Department's reputation amongst the IPC.
The world was known as 'Earth' where many criminal organizations operate as well as people known as 'Ability Users'. These ability users make it significantly harder for the IPC to just take over the planet, thus forcing them to slowly rise in power through government status or through the existing factions amongst it.
