Rumi cradled her abdomen miserably.
The girls were heating up ramyeon, and she knew she should have been excited, but all she could focus on was the awful nausea roiling through her stomach.
She'd forgotten to take her motion sickness medication before the flight.
"Rumi, are you okay?" Zoey asked, pulling the frontwoman from her thoughts. Great, now her bandmates were staring at her, all concerned and worried.
"I-" she stopped talking, as the effort made the nausea increase tenfold.
"Rumi, hey" Mira set down her food and went to Rumi's side, putting a hand on her shoulder. Then, knowingly: "Are you feeling sick?"
Rumi managed a small nod, the motion making her head spin. Next thing she knew, there was a trash bin between her knees, and then she was throwing up, her neck straining with each miserable retch.
By the end of it, she was sweating profusely and felt horribly weak.
"Should we cancel the show?" Zoey asked, and Rumi shook her head earnestly, even as the motion made her feel worse.
"I'll be okay" she replied shakily. "Once we touch ground"
"Okay" Mira said hesitantly. She didn't love the idea of Rumi pushing herself after she'd just puked her guts out, but she also knew that fighting about it wouldn't help anything. "But, go easy on yourself, yeah?"
"...Okay" Rumi sighed. "I will. I promise"
