“Come on Sunny…” Aubrey spoke softly.
“You know you want to~” She put her finger under his chin, pushing up so their eyes met.
Sunny blushed, trying to look away. “B-but I…”
His heart beat faster.
“I can’t— It’s not—” He sputtered.
“Why can’t you? Hmm?” She leaned closer, her hair tickling his face.
Sunny’s breath stuttered.
“Mom wouldn’t want this.” He muttered.
“It’s not… right.”
“Not right?” Aubrey whispered into Sunny’s ear. “Even if it's me asking?”
A spark raced up Sunny’s spine, feeling her hot breath in his ear.
“I…” His knees threatened to buckle.
Aubrey traced a line down Sunny’s shirt, smirking as he squirmed at her touch.
Sunny’s breath left him. “O-okay…”
Aubrey stepped back slightly.
“Because it’s you, Aubrey.” He fidgeted with his hands.
Her expression softened slightly.
Sunny closed his eyes. He was shaking slightly.
“Well?” Aubrey said. “It’s not nice to keep a girl waiting, Sunny.”
Sunny swallowed, taking a deep, if shaky, breath. “S…”
“Shit!”
Aubrey erupted with laughter, smacking her knees.
Sunny’s gaze turned down, his face bright red.
She wiped her eyes, coming down from her amusement.
“Sorry, Sunny.” She took his hand gently.
His eyes snapped up and met hers.
“Now…” Aubrey continued. “Say f—”
The door slammed open. Hero burst into the room.
Aubrey spun around quickly.
“Aubrey!” Hero glared at her. “Are you making Sunny say swears again?”
“N-no!” She fired back.
Aubrey was sweating, averting her eyes.
“We talked about this last time!”
Hero sighed. “You’re coming with me missy.”
He took her by the wrist and dragged her—flailing like a toddler—out of the room.
The door closed behind them.
Sunny blinked slowly, unsure of what to do.
