"Wow." The Fae Queen said as she stared at Pepa and Felix.
These two people decided to journey through the Fae kingdom.
Humans didn't usually get this far.
But given that she had a cloud over her head and there were no other storms in the country, the Fae Queen figured that they weren't entirely human.
"You took my child." Pepa said, thundering.
"Alright, you have found us, you may take the child. I'll take our..."
"We never said we'd give the fae child back." Felix spoke up.
"What?" The Fae Queen was actually taken aback.
"You didn't come here to swap them back?"
"No. We came here to get our child back. You gave us this one."
"So we now have two babies."
The Fae Queen stared at the human baby she had stolen.
She smiled slowly.
"You two are very powerful humans. You may take the child and keep ours."
Pepa took the human baby.
"And we'll be keeping an eye on you."
"What are we going to tell Mama?" Pepa asked Felix as both babies started to nurse.
"We can help with that too." The Fae Queen spoke up.
Pepa and Felix hadn't noticed that there was something wrong with their second child.
Except that the bebe sudden;y screamed with fury against the world.
Unable to be soothed.
Bruno had a vision to try and make things easier for Pepa who had a storm over her head the whole time.
It was then he showed them that there was a vision of them talking to the Fae Queen.
Pepa and Felix believed in the Fae Queen.
So they knew.
The Fae had decided to swap their child with a Changeling.
They also knew the myths.
They knew that they had to journey to find their original child.
But Pepa loved the Changeling and she knew Felix did too.
When they got back to the Encanto...the two of them smiled shyly at the family.
"Out for a walk with the mellizos?" Mama asked.
Pepa and Felix looked at each other.
"She said she'd handle it." Felix mouthed.
Pepa nodded.
"Si. Out for a walk with the mellizos."
So Mirabel and Camilo grew up.
Pepa and Felix and Bruno were the only three people that knew there was a Changeling.
They were Madrigals.
Madrigals were known for being a little odd anyway so no one would notice.
