Chapter Text
The pounding ache in his head woke him up, made only worse by the bright lights in the room as he started to slowly open his eyes. Where was he and why was his sister just staring at him as if he'd been dying? So annoying.
With a soft calm voice he hear Satoko's voice "Shu, are you ok?"
Slurring his words from the awful pain and the confusion he answered "Mm'suppose I am? W're am I?"
"The hospital" she answered "seems some jocks accidentally pushed you down some stairs and you hit your head in the fall." she sounded a bit annoyed at that last part.
He chuckled a little with a hand in his head "Well that explains the headache." Eugh, SO annoying
With a worried voice she asked him "Does it hurt too much? I was gonna call the doctor anyway since you're awake, I'll let her know." she started heading towards the door.
"K, thanks" he said as he was placing his head on his pillow again to fall back asleep.
Before she finished heading out she said quickly and with a smile "Oh, and mom told Miyano's mom, she waited until he was out of class to let him know, but he's on his way now, so rest while you wait."
He raised an eyebrow "Wai..."
Before he could finish, she had already left him alone with his thoughts, but try as he may, he couldn't stop wondering.
Who the heck is Miyano?
The doctor came to his room to check on him and she explained that they ran some tests and there was no visible damage on his skull, and his brain seemed physically fine as well, but since this was a head injury and he had passed out when it happened they'd so some other tests, but they would wait for the meds for his headache to kick-in before they drilled him with questions.
As she left the room, he could see a small raven-haired guy waiting by the door looking a little anxious.
Curious of this person who kept looking at him he greeted him "Hi?"
"Hey" the guy said in a soft tone "your sister went to get some lunch, and told me to just come in." he said as he made his way inside the room.
Upon entering the room Sasaki noticed that he was wearing the uniform from his school, which made him wonder why was he here.
He looks my age, maybe even a bit older, is he here to bring me my homework? Why didn't Ogasawara do that? You would think I'd remember someone with a face as cute as th... wait, that's a guy, what am I thinking?
Sasaki's face looked puzzled of this he was sure.
The small boy interrupted his thoughts "Sh... Shumei? Are you ok? Does it hurt too much? You're really quiet." he said with a bit of a nervous voice.
Startled out of his thoughts he could only respond.
"Oh, the medicines are starting to take effect, so it hurts much less than before." he said with the mix of a smile and confusion.
Wait, did this guy call me "Shumei"? That's... bold.
"I'm so glad" he said with a smile, one which Sasaki thought looked better than his worried face, but also while reprimanding himself for thinking this of a boy "I was really worried when my mom called to tell me you were at the hospital because you hit your head, luckily I had my last test today so I could come rushing right away."
Oh wow, this guy's really nice, but seriously who is h...
His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the feeling of lips over his.
Pushing him away he could only stutter his words. "W…w…wait!! Why the heck d…did you… you do THAT for?" he didn't even notice he had raised his voice.
To say the raven-haired boy looked pained at his reaction was an understatement, when has his boyfriend EVER pulled away at the chance of physical contact?
With a red face and a shaky voice he said "S… sorry, I was just so happy you’re awake, also there’s no one around so I didn’t think you’d mind Shu, sorry for doing that when your head hurts." then lowering his head in embarrassment.
Witht the same upset voice he replied "Dude, this is not about my headache or the people around us for that matter, I don’t even know WHO you are."
The small guy looked mortified and answered "Dude?... Wait…WHAT?!"
